DONALD SUTHERLAND on HMS
HERO
from David
Sutherland, his son
All the photos
come from my Dad's collection (above, with thanks to David). His name was Donald
Sutherland and he was a Petty Officer on board HERO
as well as HMS HYPERION and HMS RHODODENDRON.
I have a number of other pictures on board HERO as
well as ones of HYPERION, HASTY, ACTIVE, SOMALI and
AFRIDI, along with action shots from the Second
Battle of Narvik, some from the Spanish Civil War
and some in the Med during the Malta Convoys.
