The demeanor and agenda of the professional politician has not changed in well over two centuries! They still tell us what they think that we want to hear, present themselves as being the friend of the people, and continuously attack the competition, painting them out to be the next thing to excrement itself! When however, they fail to live up to expectations, their pledge of honor turns out to be more swamp gas than a refreshing breath of fresh air, and the word truth is no longer anywhere to be found in their vocabulary, it is always the other guy who is at fault!
I find it truly amazing however, that these very same professional politicians, regardless of their party and financial affiliations, and with all of their education and legal training, coupled with the millions of dollars that are expended in the hunt for a job that pays but a fraction of what has been exhausted by them in seeking public office to begin with, have never learned the meanings of the words truth, integrity, and country before self?
Political party, a wheelbarrow full of easy money, and never-ending media exposure, can only carry one just so far, even if it is into The Oval Office? But are you willing to bet your life, your family’s future, and maybe even national existence itself, upon the promises of any politician, because in reality, that is exactly what we do the very moment that we cast our ballot!
