Great chicken!!!! it was sauteed in a white cream sauce. The brownie was served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle......There was one problem, Sid found a hair on his brownie so he sent it back.

After four days at the 6000 ft. level, doing nothing but fishing and drinking, I return to this fine establishment, intent on walking up to the bar and ordering a drink. I don't care if that green eyed lass is holding a bat. What has happened to this place!It's so clean and quit.There's a young fireman in the corner studiously, studying NFPA 921, hope he remembers it's just a guid and doesn't have to remember all that stuff to testify in court. And their's Bob reading a book on 101 ways to cook chicken, and watching the Food Channel on the TV at the same time. What's up with LT, a towel rapped around his head, a patch over his eye, a chicken on his shoulder, and pointing a broad axe at the lass behind the bar. I am so glad to be back, I love this place. Bob let me tell you about the cute black bear I ran in to at the lodge.

So I get out of my dirty, dusty, gas eatting California fish rod after getting up a 0300 and driving 90 miles to fish one of the best lakes in No. Cal. I cast and wait no hit. I do this most of the day, and still no hits. I give up and drive back to the Warrior Saloon where I know that my good friends will understand that some days the Fish God just isn't with you. As I enter someone asks how it went. I say, " I hate to say it but I got skunked." Wait where is everyone going. LT runs by looking like a wet dish rag. How did he get so wet inside? Why is Bob runing after the young firefighter as he heads out the door with a tape measure. And here comes that green eyed young lass. Why is she trying to hit me with a mop as she goes flying by? Wait don't leave, I said I got shunked, not that I have a skunk. Oh well I am use to drinking alone. Sure wish I could have found that cute young black bear I saw last time.

OK, OK I am in the corner, the skunk left when the green eyed lass came back and sprayed the place with, only God knows what. The closest I can come to describing it is the smell of a four holler being burned out. Haven't smelled it since picnicking in the sand dunes of Danang. If I had one of those large cans of Fosters in my hand I'd feel right at home.

Any day above ground is a good day.

The bear found me!!! Just my luck the bear found out where I hang out, then get run over. Another lonely night. Maybe I'll go back to chickens. There's more of them and their easier to find. On the other hand if I could afford gas I could follow LT to the mountains and at least look forlornly at the bear before he eats her. I'll just stay here, drink my Brennans Irish and study my Practical Homicide Investigation, and NFPA 921, maybe something will happen where my training and skills will be needed. anyone got a match?

This week though I'll be getting ready for halloween. So in an effort to begin celebration I got this. (lifts a 20lb bag of candy onto the bar and dumps it into one of those plastic cauldrons) I was also thinking about strategically placed dry ice round the bar too.

Ok here I am in front of the only bar in town that's worth a damn. I park my new gas saving, low slung, roll down window air conditioned, baby would you like a ride, transportation, and get out. I seem to have drawn a few folks wholike my new wheels. As I enter someone says their all going to the VFW Hall for a party, Trav is getting married. WHY? Bob tells me that the green eyed lass is leaving for a month,and he wants me to help him search for hadcuff and chains and something about a bovine who is in to BD.I think he's going to need a stump rope instead of the cuffs. After a lot of careful thought, and putting my training and a great deal of experience to work, I have an idea. If everyone goes to the party I could stay here and drink all the Brennans Irish I wanted, putting it on LT and Bobs tab of course :b:

So as I set here three of the regulars come in, so the bar is safe for awhile. I took a look in the alley and much to my surprise my new ride is gone. Some SOB must have reported a 10851 CVC to the locals. Now I have to find a new ride. As I am catching a ride to Oregon at six in the AM, maybe I'll find something up their. Bob I went to the Wall while in DC. I don't have the words to describe my feelings, only that I felt a great loss. It took me awhile to go and talk to my buddy Don, but I made it. Sort of glad I went alone as none of my friends would have to see this grown man cry. A toast my friends to all who gave the last full measure.

After two alone failed trips to the Wall I finally made it with my units reunion in DC in June. Almost failed again but a guy in my Platoon put his arm around me and said " Lets go say hello to our brothers LT " Left a picture of me holding my grandson , told them I was sorry it had taken me this long to get back and say Hey. I'll bring my grandson there in about 15 years to introduce him to some heros who gave all and tell about some of these guys . Together then , together again. Crown for all !

Great weekend , made it to Psyco Mtn Saturday and hung out with Mustache Mike and drank a few beers. Sunday polished up the Harley and went on a 4 hour ride.. don't get much better. Crown for all !!

So I am back at the best watering hole I know of. Got stopped by one of those Oregon Highway Cop just before I got in to CA. Said my brand new ride was making to much noise. Then he asked if I had been in Ohio recently and if I knew any thing about a cop car that was taken. Of course I said I knew nothing Things have changed since my last visit, no chickens, bovines, skunks, or drunks lying on the floor. I see that that lovely green eyed lass is back, and instead of holding a bat now she has a wand. What the hell is that all about? I need someone to approach her and get me a Brennans, (no ice of course), I don't have the nerve it's hard to tell what she can do with that wand. Bob says it is a magic wand. Wonder if she can wave it and get a few ladies in here to just talk to :nn:. Anyway it's good to be back.

Nice sand rail OS. Miss those days. The weather isn't much for them in NY. Especially at -10. The wind chill would freeze those "thingies" off in a 1/4 mile. Curtis, it snowed here the Wednesday, melted off Thursday but caused all sorts of tree damage around here. Rounds out for the house. A hot tottie for all. Spice the rum!

The retired mainframe computer "expert" slowly apporaches a non-descript building he has heard is the Psyco Vets bar now. As he enters he notices it is much cleaner than he expected. He asks for a Heineken, cafe latte, and pork BBQ rib plate ( dry with sauce on the side ), and cranks up his laptop to see if this is a wi-fi hotspot and it is, so he logs onto the Warriors Saloon thread..............Hmm... it seems LT has made a remark about BobK's equipment from the last picnic......After all the bad press myself and Andy have received since April, this is a welcome distraction......He scarfs down his beer, BBQ ribs 9 excellent by the way...that magic again ? Things got sort of hazy but I pirked up when Bob said something about a nyphomaniac arriving shortly, or was it a drag queen, no matter I missed whatever it was. Someone started playing Johnny Cash music on the Jukebox, love his songs, (right now "Sunday Morning Coming Down would fit), I wonder if there is any Kitty Wells, or Rose Maddox, maybe some old Bluegrass. Well LT's off to Psyco Mtn. Don't see Bob, the green eyed lass is nowhere in sight, Steve and Larry left early, so it's just me and all that liqued amber behind the bar. As far as April goes it all depends on work. I'm supposed to ship out for the next TDY in Jan, but i don't have orders yet, just on the list. But if i don't ship out and stay behind i'll be the only 3C (that's my career code) in the shop meaning i'll be doing all the work and time off might be something i have to bargain for. But we will see, if you let me know what weekend well in advance i can plan for it at least have it on the schedule before hand :)

In case you havn't noticed John's the big $hit stirrer (since he was deprived of that luxury in Vietnam) He gets Trav and I all worked up then we start saying bad things upon which he replies with a "Sick Puppy" comment Then the women think he real cool.
The truth is, He's sicker than all of us put together.

As I enter this fine establishment I smell the odor of something badly burnt. My God what is that on the bar, it looks like a barbecued Felix the cat. I've had too much to drink I can't focus is the cat holding it's head. Maybe I need another drink. This looks like the opportune time to get it, as the green eyed lass has Bob doing the chicken while she hits him with her bat. I must talk to Bob and find out what he said to pi$$ her off, so I'll know what not to say. Drinks on me or just pour your own. The lass will be busy for awhile.

Seeing what was going on between Bob and the green eyed lass , I ran as fast as my gimpy leg would let me to my cardboard living quarters to get my camera so I could take some pictures to look at later. I get stopped by a vice cop who asked what I was doing in a place like that. I buzzed him with my Sgt's badge and said I was working under cover. At this point I was placed under arrest for mopery in public, and impersonating a police officer, advised of my rights and taken down town. After many hours of intense questioning I was released. I hurried back to the bar, thinking that as old as Bob is he would still be trying things out. Well no one here when I got back. So no photos to look at latter when I am alone. Oh well I still have my 1966 copy of Hustler, drinks on me. What is that odor.:m:

Quickly stepping over bobk's body in the door way ,the well built biker notices the wounds were made with a bat and that Bob was fighting back with a much much littler weapon. Harley has been running great and my leathers still fit. Crown for All !

As I step in to the bar, I yell drinks for all because I am happy. I found a new cardboard box for my sleeping quarters. As my eyes adjust I see Bob lying on the floor, which is a reminder to be verrrrry careful around the green eyed lass. Their's LT standing at the bar, maybe he and I should help Bob, then again maybe Bob likes lying on the floor. Oh well I'll get a shot of good Irish and just relax, It's so soothing in here. WHAT IS THAT ODOR?

I lost two inches on my waist and got an extra point in my AF Fit to Fight Test!! I still failed but at least i showed improvement!! yeah me
