Just use Mae's apron next time Brad.

So Mae... feel like you'll be making any visitations to some "Locked in Loneliness group"?

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:00 PM

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:01 PM

ken - I know you're out in the country - you on a farm or acreage (sp?)?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:12 PM
me too - and I even already thought of a lame comeback. guess jane blue-balled me.

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:22 PM
I'm back, just had a damn power failure.....

About out in the country, just have over an acre in the woods, but it's surrounded by fields. So I get the smell of corn and beans from some direction every spring.

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:25 PM
that's awesome - you get all the benefits of the country without all the work... I grew up on a five acre place... alfalfa field on most of it, replanted to native grasses... small pond. Surrounded by fields... but they've all been zoned into residential... won't be in the country for long :md:

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:28 PM
No, but I envy you all the experiences your going to have. (No bad ones allowed for members of the Patriot Files ). :D

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:31 PM
Just thought of something, Jane may be trying to ZIP that file to you. If she does hope you have Winzip.

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:31 PM
oh and the experiences they'll be! - esp. if I follow wazza's advice!

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:32 PM
I still have about a month and a half to be a computer geek - I've got winzip covered!

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:33 PM
I'm losingthe trend of this conversation. Must be slow tonight!

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:34 PM
Do you get to take a vehicle with you ?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:34 PM
Shirley, it's me. High on vitamin C and some expired cough syrup from two years ago featuring Codeine!

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:35 PM
and the man around the corner is eating peanut butter sandwiches in a row boat. Right Brad ?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:37 PM

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:37 PM

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:39 PM

kenmar

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:42 PM

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:43 PM

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:43 PM
At least.

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:43 PM
SOOO, did the vistitation file get off to Brad or not ?

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:44 PM
Didn't come back, if it was going to.

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:44 PM
I'll have to wait until I go to work monday - unless I find an excuse to burn some sick leave *cough*

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:45 PM
It went to work?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:45 PM
a shot of my borderline narcotic cough syrup + a half beer = pure bliss - here you go!

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:46 PM
Thanks, you didn't drink from the bottle, did you?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:46 PM

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:47 PM
Yes

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:47 PM
yeah - but the alcohol will kill the germs... I think. I bet you're the gamblin' type! No balls no babies!

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:47 PM
I sent it to Jeff this afternoon, I think... Any way he got it and I think he's on one of those web mail deals.

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:48 PM
yup - that's my work address.... wouldn't check it at home if I could... prob. atleast a dozen job requests in it.

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:50 PM

kenmar
12-28-2002, 07:53 PM
No PT or Vacation time left?

thebrad
12-28-2002, 07:55 PM
I used most of the vacation time I had left in visits to the MEPS! I think I only have like 24 or 32 hours left.

Keith will have to catch me first!

janecallanan
12-28-2002, 07:55 PM
Better start finding some good ones, ken!

thebrad

kenmar
12-29-2002, 12:25 PM
Ok Sue, for those "inquiring minds" I've put it on my web site. But be fore-warned that it is Saloon humor. If your uncomfortable with George Carlin's or Whoopie Goldberg's type ofhumor,do NOT listen to it.

Having said that, those that want tohear it, click herewww.kendavey.com (http://www.kendavey.com/) to get to my site. Then click on the W inthe word "Welcome" at the top of the page.

I've got a sniffer on the W link, so I'll know who clicked on it :D:D:D

Not really.... there's no way to do that.

Oris there ? ......:ab:

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 12:46 PM
Any good news today?

thebrad
12-29-2002, 12:46 PM
All of my favorite movies are on!

kenmar
12-29-2002, 12:47 PM
Saw Brad running around the building a little earlier

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 12:47 PM
Which ones? Are they all on at once?

thebrad
12-29-2002, 12:48 PM
in brief(s)... yes

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 12:48 PM
Brad, those aren't movies. They're Hanes ads.

thebrad
12-29-2002, 12:49 PM
Ah yes - but they still contain all the important parts of a good movie

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 12:51 PM
Michael Jordan? I can't argue with that!
Ken, when did they pull your ad from the TV? (Ken used to model speedos) ;)

kenmar
12-29-2002, 12:58 PM
It's still in the Sears catalog

thebrad
12-29-2002, 12:59 PM
I have about a thousand things I could say.... think I'll let 'em all slide.

kenmar
12-29-2002, 01:00 PM
I told you a million times not to exagerate

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 01:00 PM
Brad, that would be considered a movie classic. I'll have to look for the catalog!

thebrad
12-29-2002, 01:01 PM
you guys make me laugh, which makes me cough.

Let me guess: a long movie with a thick plot?

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 01:02 PM
You been breaking the men's room rules?

thebrad
12-29-2002, 01:02 PM
I believe I am covered by the 5th ammendment on this one.

kenmar
12-29-2002, 01:08 PM
Brad, when you get time,(after the Mae Mangle) check the editorial in the "If we don't remember our past" thread.

thebrad
12-29-2002, 01:09 PM
Just read it... still forming opinions though.

JeffL
12-29-2002, 01:09 PM
Jane, you're slightly mistaken. Ken advertised in Hot Rod Magazine for SPEEDOMETERS, not Speedos. :re:

There's not enough money............. :ek:

Jeff, how do you model a speedometer (or maybe I don't want to know?)
Ken, that was perfect timing for that first picture! :ae:

12-29-2002, 01:45 PM
Yeah - that was the other person. Not me at all... nope!

janecallanan
12-29-2002, 01:47 PM

Hey, Sue, seem to keep missing you! Are you recovered from all the baking yet?

Drywall
12-30-2002, 05:44 AM
Morning all, I need some adult beverage with my coffee this morning. Yesterday was not a good day.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 06:39 AM
How much, Drywall? Top shelf? I think we have some chocolate around somewhere too. That ALWAYS helps!

Drywall
12-30-2002, 06:53 AM
Aww crap, I just better stick with the coffee straight up. I might have to leave and I don't need the booze now.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 07:21 AM
Coffee coming. Hope it helps. How about prayers?

Drywall
12-30-2002, 07:28 AM
Thanks Jane, I'm just so danged frustrated with the doc's and everything. I'm sure by tomorrow she'll be fine. :)

catman
12-30-2002, 08:41 AM
Is the grill open yet? I could go for a double cheeseburger, double hashbrowns w/cheese and butter and a draft in a frosty mug.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 08:46 AM
Howdy cat. You want the hungry man lunch, huh? Here's your beer it'll be a minute on the chow. Ever have c-rats? Got a special on them today. :D

catman
12-30-2002, 08:53 AM
When we were at the port in Damman(sp) Saudi, my platoon found a whole pallet of them. We ate good for a couple of weeks. Used to sit on the balconies in Kobar towers and cook on our squad stoves. Beat the shit the Phillipino's were serving in the parking garages. After we moved to the desert we were located next to a British Engineer unit used to trade with them all the time. Case of MRE's would get you a case of rations they called 10 men, guess that's how many Brits it could feed.

catman
12-30-2002, 08:55 AM
i also remember being very young when my father was stationed in Germany and he would bring back c-rats from the field. It was like a little Christmas to us kids and Dad would laugh saying how do they eat that stuff.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 08:55 AM
So, you got yourself a P-38 then? I still have one on a keyring circa 1966.

catman
12-30-2002, 08:57 AM
I also have a p-38 on my keyring, right next to the dog tag

Drywall
12-30-2002, 09:00 AM
If it wasn't so dang useful, I doubt if I'd have kept one.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 09:03 AM
Are you going to list the 101 uses of one?

kenmar
12-30-2002, 09:03 AM
Hi Drywall, catman, Jane....The p38 sure brings back memories. Do they still issue the pocket knife. ..not sure, but I think its nomenclature was T 29.

catman
12-30-2002, 09:04 AM
It's funny, everytime Diane goes to open a new can of coffee see brings it to me so i can use "that thing on my keys" She says the manual opener hurts her wrist and it won't fit under the electric one. I guess as long as we keep drinking coffee i have a home anyway.

catman
12-30-2002, 09:06 AM
Never was issued a jack knife but we used to get Gerber Gators through the S-4. These are abount $50 knives very nice and large. About a 5 1/2 inch blade. Still have mine in the gun safe.

kenmar
12-30-2002, 09:08 AM
Good for skinning squirrels ?? :D :D

catman
12-30-2002, 09:10 AM
Ken, was that the old blade two blade job? one blade had a square end for use as a screw driver? I remember those being around when I first entered the army (87) but not much after that.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 09:10 AM
Two on the list now, squirrel skinning and marital aid. 99 more to go!

catman
12-30-2002, 09:12 AM
The Gerbers are much too big for that. Maybe for deer or elephant but not squirrels.

kenmar
12-30-2002, 09:13 AM
Yeah, that was it.. hard to believe, but I still have mine after almost 50 years.

I guess Mae has lost it, maybe I am not as incharacter with her without a quote!
I knew what the p-38 was. Used one several times, and hated it! So, that means we only have a list of one, Marital Aid.

If I make it to 50, I guess I will brag about still having mine too!

thebrad
12-30-2002, 09:22 AM
how well do you think those Gerbers will work on consultants?

catman
12-30-2002, 09:25 AM
Work good for most everything but some of their intended uses are frown on from John Law.

kenmar
12-30-2002, 09:25 AM
A psyco hat and a Gerber will go a long way towards adjusting attitudes. :D

thebrad
12-30-2002, 09:27 AM
Prob. the only attitude that needs adjusted is mine. Besides, I can't wear a pyscho hat yet anyway!

Drywall

I'm gonna go let Mae test out her pat down technique. :D

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 09:41 AM
let me know if I'm too rough for you.

catman
12-30-2002, 09:42 AM
Ken thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Drywall... no cutting in line!

kenmar
12-30-2002, 09:42 AM
rub down would be better.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 09:44 AM
Is it getting warm in here? :D

catman
12-30-2002, 09:45 AM
they play that tape on a radio station up here. Hey drywall you ever listen to the KQ morning show?

Drywall
12-30-2002, 09:50 AM
Very seldom, but I hear all about it from my daughter. It sounds like it's pretty funny. Bernard doesn't live too far from me. Well, if you consider 10-15 miles not too far. Neither does Jesse.

catman
12-30-2002, 09:53 AM
I think those two are close neighbors from what they say on the air. Some it it gets kind of slow and no one can ever disagree with benard or they get cut off, but all and all it is pretty funny.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 09:55 AM
All radio guys are like that. They think they're experts on everything.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 09:59 AM
hey Brad, how's you cold doing?

Drywall
12-30-2002, 10:13 AM
I think Brad stepped out for a while. What is everybody doing for New Years Eve? I might go out early and come home early.

thebrad
12-30-2002, 10:21 AM
back now - doesn't seem fair that I have to work while at work sometimes.... I see Jane disappeared though.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 10:27 AM
Yea they expect me to work while at work too. Go figure.

thebrad
12-30-2002, 10:30 AM
One of the consultants, that are currently running the company, today told me 'Congrats on making the biggest mistake of your life.' Said a few other things that including the words 'quitter' and 'traitor.' I should have walked... damn economics - I'm stuck!

thebrad
12-30-2002, 10:30 AM
So I don't feel too inclined to work very diligiantly!

kenmar
12-30-2002, 10:34 AM
I was never afraid of hard work....I could sit down right next to any hardworker and watch him all day long.

Drywall
12-30-2002, 10:37 AM
Brad, tell him if it weren't for you and guys like you, his sorry a** might not have a place to work. What a dick weed. You should deck him first, then walk.

catman
12-30-2002, 10:39 AM
One of the few good things about being in business for yourself is, I have declared today as an admin day. I will sit my fat butt in front of this computer and watch the history channel on TV. At least until the wife gets back and tells me differently.

kenmar
12-30-2002, 10:44 AM
Drywall's right, the guy is probably one of those Pu$$ys that makes love under the covers with the lights off. :)

thebrad
12-30-2002, 10:44 AM
I wrote it off as him being a jackass. These guys litterally are the 'bobs' off of office space.

I suppose I am service to defend his right to be a capitalist pig!

I'm surprised it took a full week for the character bashing to begin!

Drywall
12-30-2002, 10:48 AM
"I suppose I am service to defend his right to be a capitalist pig!"

This is what makes you better than he'll ever be.

He's in good company at my work - they're all either MD's Lawyers or Engineers or a combination of. (I like the engineers though)... plus they are pretty much all millionaires - one of them brags about how he has dinner with Warren Buffet often when they are both in town - OOOO!

I should be thanking them, not hitting them - they proved very useful as negative role-models - gave me that extra push to look for something more from a career!

philly
12-30-2002, 10:52 AM
Good Morning. :)

Drywall
12-30-2002, 10:54 AM
It's afternoon here. ;) What'll ya have?

thebrad
12-30-2002, 10:54 AM
drywall - that all depends on what qualities are used to measure a man's worth. I have no interest in being any better than anyone anyway - I'll judge brad tomorrow based off brad today.

On a side note: My brother just called me and asked if I could help him 'do drywall in the basement' next weekend. I SWEAR it's carpentry only!

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 10:56 AM
Brad, all they're doing is proving what they are whenever they open their mouths, and you prove what you are when you react with dignity.
That's my boy! Didn't I teach him well!!!
Morning philly.

philly

Hi Drywall,

janecallanan

kenmar
12-30-2002, 11:13 AM

12-30-2002, 11:13 AM

if you all will excuse us, Brad and mae have some business to attend to in the photo booth. C'mon soldier, lets make some great wallet shots for your scrap book. Gotta promise me the first brass button though.

philly
12-30-2002, 11:19 AM
Drywall, it's not black coffee you served me. You spiced it up a bit with Baileys. ;)

Ken, tweezer? Hmmm... Should I call in the Air Force to airlift ya? :D

thebrad
12-30-2002, 11:21 AM

philly

kenmar
12-30-2002, 11:25 AM

Where are my manners, sorry Keith. You were so quiet over there, what can I get for you?

thebrad
12-30-2002, 11:29 AM

kenmar
12-30-2002, 11:29 AM
OK Drywall, I'll have a short one before I leave.

janecallanan
12-30-2002, 11:30 AM
