Kind of a cute story to go along with 26th MEU's homcoming.

As the convoy was heading to CamLej from Moorehead City (knowing some of all y'all have made that trip), and starting thru Swansboro NC, the Principal of the Middle School (?) there came up on the 1MC and told all the students to move quickly outside...line the fence (which is right along Rt 24) and "wave at the 'Soldiers' coming home from Afghanistan"...which brought a whole contingent of young folks immediately to the Principal's AO advising her that the Warriors heading up the road were NOT Soldiers, but rather MARINES...!

Needless to say, the Principal learned a valuable lesson from her young charges that day, and we've had some fun with the issue here in the area...ya might read about it more, however, in a wider media play since we've shared it with some....
