Kind of lonely here in the Gulf War forum. I would encourage any gulf vets visiting here to start to be vocal on the site. I decided to start posting some of my story now. Hope more will follow.

Sorry, David, I've had a lot to say these past few days, but this place has been busy and I couldn't get in. Depend on more from me. I'm working on my story-you'll get it when I'm done.

Okay, you now have another member. I will attempt to get more involved with the gulf war spectrum. I don't have a story posted or anything yet. Think I need to get familiar with the site first. You may not really want to read my story. I am known for talking too much....LOL.

Hi all. I am a Desert Storm Vet and would like to get more involved and talk to more ODS veterans. It is kinda lonely out here. I have tried numerous times to locate old buddies but haven't had any luck. I am currently in school thanks to Voc Rehab. Later:rolleyes:

I wrote this during The Storm. Got it published too.

Thoughts of War
O.D.S. 91
War can be hell if you let it
Fear in your mind everyday
Hopelessness corrodes your mind
Thoughts of home hurt in every way
Time has no meaning but despair
The watch on your arm is always wrong
I am in a time warp ahead of my life
The return is not seen in the near
Smells are never forgotten of decay
Sights of torture & pain impressed in your brain
Sleeplessness an enemy you can?t kill
Home is your only friend
A weapon calms you held tight in your hand
Life is a poker chip, hold the cards & play them right
Take me to my destiny

HOOAH!!!!

Hey guys, just wanted to drop in and say hi, i really have not died just busier than hell. Construction up here in the twin cities is booming and if this recession gets any worse i think i will need reinforcements. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying their summer! Take care!
