on may 11, 1945, tf 76 rescued the dutch general staff, numerous french generals, lord haig of the scottish regiment, and the crown jewels of saxony from konigstein castle on the elbe, where the germans had kept them pow. my dad was taskforce commander. i am searching for others who may have been involved, or know of someone involved. thanks much.
