.. in the. day. Thanks for sharing, sis. Great story and so true. Made me thankful for all my blessings that I sometimes take for granted. When I first got to Bitnam the only reason I carried a 45 was to shoot myself if I lost an arm or leg - macho man - then one day we got in a fight and the guys closest to me were getting shot quickly, I knew I was going down soon unless something happened quick. So I made my every ten year cry to God for help. I didn't care if I lost BOTH arms and legs, I just wanted very badly to be alive. HE got me and a bunch of others out that day out - I am thankful. Thanks again , sis for the post - just try to wait till later in the day please.
Arrow that was beautiful. May that strong young woman be both productive and happy. And may she over look the inconvience of her physical short comings. Sure makes a person thankful for what he has.
DMZ-LT, I carried a .45 too but it wasn't for an arm or leg. We had a guy who stepped on a bouncing betty that blew up between his legs. If that happened, I would have used the .45. At 19, a fate worst than death. (At 54 a fate worst than death.)
Stay healthy,
Andy
