Sunday morning last I was giving Paco and Debbie, Doc Fred and Shirley a ride to Bradley airport in Ct. No one in their right mind would go to Logan in Boston. The guards at the airport who had let me slid through all the bull on Friday were playing by the book on Sunday morning. I was politely asked to step out of the car and empty the bags out of the trunk so they could see my spare tire. I flashed a badge and ID which is still valid thru the end of the year but was told they had to follow procedures. We followed procedures and insured the trunk of the car was not a security risk. Then we went into the parking lot, then into the airport.

Now here?s were it gets interesting. Since I was 19 I haven?t gone anywhere without a firearm. If I can protect myself it?s one less person for ?society? to worry about. So, while going through ?procedures? I was carrying my .38 Smith & Wesson snub-nose and no one noticed. Anyone want to hire me as a terrorist?

Perhaps less procedures and a touch more common sense would be in order.

Stay healthy, keep your heads down,
Andy
PS: Wonder if anyone at airports are so twisted as to strip search Paco??? Course I?m sure he?d enjoy it.

We have had a month of reports on lack of airport security out here in Vegas. I hope it is not going to continue.

...for "loaders", not unloaders in this case, and their giving in to minimal searches involving picking up departing passengers on friday...coming in with passengers to depart is where they should be looking a hundred times as hard along with terminal employees, past and present, all "VENDERS" that service "ANY" aspect of any planes...
...we call it common sense...
