Yesterday I say a friend at the store. He is a retired Navy Chief.

His son, a Navy Petty Officer that grew up with my Navy Petty officer, is on a 6 month deployment in WESPAC.

I told him to let his wife know, I grew up her and have only known him since I was 12, that I'd be thinking about her and her son.

His response was she knew what it would be like because she's waited at home for him.

My response was you are just her husband. He is her child!

God protect our children while they serve to protect us.

As we steam across the ocean
