Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer wheel for our soldiers...please don't break it
Prayer Wheel
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus,
our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Prayer Wheel: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops in Afghanistan, and around the world.
There is nothing attached.... This can be very powerful.... Just send this to all the people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please....
Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine & others deployed in harm's way,
Prayer is the very best one.
(Thanks Karen and Reeb!)

Thanks Jane

Nang,
I think it would be good to know who we are praying for. Could you repost your son's name and maybe his picture here? Hopefully others will also, and I would be honored to pray for our children/granchildren.
Love you,
janie

in one sense I am relieved. My son Sean will be commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy this May. If there is any war he will be safe for another year because he has to go to nuke school for a year in Charleston.
He had been on the track for a pilot but he elected to go nuke after a summer tour on a sub the "Jeff City." Subs are safer no no doubt than jets but war is war. I would have never thought that I'd have to worry about a son in the service, but nevertheless we are proud of him, he will go in with a masters in mechanical engineering after a 5 year program at RIT in NROTC.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing
by prayer and supplication with thankgsgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
-Philippians 4:6
ForWalking In God?s Armor
(A Prayer For Our USA Service)
Lord, we bring before You -
though we may not know each name -
The men and women called to serve.
Lord, they seek no reward or fame.
Lord, grant them wisdom to know Your Word,
and to hide in Your Secret Place.
Keep them in the shelter of Your arms;
help them seek Your Holy face.
Though the world may come against them,
let the arrow that flies by day
Be trampled under feet shod with peace
as they walk in Your steadfast way.
When they see destruction at noonday,
Lord, give them courage to stand
Holding the shield of faith You give
to protect our beautiful land.
Terror may come in the nighttime -
thousands may fall at their side,
But, Lord we pray You?ll protect them -
that in Your grace they?ll abide.
Help them wield the sword of Your Spirit
to fight for the freedom You give
Whether on the shores of our enemies,
or in the land where we live.
We know You have heard our prayers, Dear Lord,
as our soldiers take the helmet of salvation.
Guide them in Your righteousness
as they stand proudly defending our nation.
~ Phyllis D. Jolliff ~
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD,
He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. ...
For He shall give His angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways."
Psalm 91

My son Dale, 19 years old on 3rd May 2003, has signed up in the Australian Navy for 11 years. He commences training as a Seaman Officer next week. He will be at sea as part of this training after 27 weeks. He feels this could be anywhere but I am reasonably confident he will remain in Australian waters. I have left these words with him on which to reflect.
The world is full of wonder. One day you will have to leave it for good. Make sure you absorb all its mysteries and pleasures while you have the time.

I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at
Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands.
He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded
from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away
from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war.
He stands tough, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He
looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this...
I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now
your children graduate too illiterate to read it. I fought in the snow
barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home
because it rains.
I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you
remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.
I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it
has stolen democracy from the people.
It's the soldier not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.
It's the soldier not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.
It's the soldier not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is
draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag!!!
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us.. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
Prayer Wheel:
When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our U.S.. ground troops in Afghanistan, and the ones facing deployment to Iraq at this very moment - AND all over this world.
There is nothing attached.... This can be very powerful.... Just send this
to all the people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please....
Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Prayer is the very best
one.....
Stay safe, be well.

My Nephew is in the Air Force, and we have a young man from our church in the Marines.
Both men are very fine up standing young men.
I pray for them daily.
Chris is in the Air Force.
William is in the Marines. (He was home for Christmas and all heard from him was "Semper Fi")
God Bless the Young Men in the service.

We are small in population but our hearts and minds are far ahead of the rest of the world.
We thrive on love not hate. On justice not retribution and on fair play without a referee to call the shots.
We are Australian, we are one but we are many and we are the BEST friends anyone could want to have.
My son is in the foreground next to the girls - son of a gun!!!
