I think it can be done however it does present a problem. The best way to do it would be by listing the category the picture comes from because the description is already listed and this would be the next most descriptive title for the picture. the problem is the length of the category names as you get further into sub categories. Many pictures would end up producing a large string leading to the category in question that would not look very good on the home page.
