Need Help

I have been searching since 2000 for some one who was at Cu Chi Base camp on febuary 26th 1969 The battle is well documted but I cant seem to be able locate anyone who remembers the name of a man who was shot real bad right next to me. We were taking fire from our one bunkers,I laid next to him all that night,an countless nights since, he was not dead as I had thought an a Ambulance finaly picked him up after daylight It was around bunkers 21 to 24? I dont even thow what unit he was with. I was with CoE 725th maint Bn. I was on the reactionary fource truck that night,he was hit as soon as we got off the truck I hit the ground next to him.Honest I thought he was dead I was scared an did nothing to help him. I keep looking in The Tropic Lighting Site with no results. I NEED HELP

Try going back to the 25th Division site. One of the movers and shakers there is Butch Sincock, he is a former President of the Association. He or one of his friends has a list of all 25th ID KIA's, in case the guy did die. I'm pretty sure they also have a list of all the Purple Hearts issued. With you having the exact date that should really help a lot.
As you know certain companies were assigned specific bunkers on the perimeter. However other companies sent additional people to man those bunkers and provide back up. If bunkers 21-24 were all assigned to one company, a copy of there daily action report should indicate, 1.) who the OIC was, 2.) who the NCOIC was, 3.) a list of KIA and WIA's.

I have some 25th Inf. Div KIA files that I received some time ago. There may be a more updated version available. Anyway, these were the only ones listed for that date 2/26/69. Good Luck.
