:D My son, Sean was recently commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy. The whole family went to witness the ceremony in Rochester. He received his commission through the University of Rochester NROTC program. I am extremely proud of him. He graduated with a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and was accepted to the Navy's nuclear power school. After a year there, he goes to Groton for three months then goes to sea in a sub. He owes the Navy 5 years. Right now, I think he is looking at it as a career.
What was really special was the fact that on Sean's cover, he wore my father's cap device for the ceremony. Dad served in destroyers in the Atlantic then was transferred to the pacific. He passed on 5 years ago, but we all knew he was smiling down on Sean and his cap device from 1941.
