Gentlemen & Ladies -
Just received some information on my wife's uncle (MIA/POW) and she asked me to share it with the site...
CORPORAL MELVIN MORGAN
Corporal Melvin Morgan was with Company L, 21st Infantry regiment, 24th Division.
Captured at Chochiwon, South Korea when he was 19 years old, on 11 July 1950.
Was part of the Tiger Death March
Died at Hanjang-ni , December 6, 1950 (age 20) at the Tiger Camp in captivity. Tentative causes of Death - starvation, etc. More information coming from Tiger Survivors Group shortly.
Born- October 1, 1930, Stanly County, North Carolina
Body not recovered as yet!
