This question could be posted in any number of catagories, but I'll begin here and see if anyone can help me.

Can anybody recommend any good *non-fiction* (that's real facts, not make-believe for you non-bookworms :) ) that discuss the strategies, procedures and events regarding the Chrome Dome nuclear alert flights? Anything such as a Cold War B-52 pilot's memoirs or a study of SAC nuclear strategies and tactics, etc. Anything that would give me a good idea of what it was like to be assigned to a SAC nuclear alert squadron and have to fly around a BUFF carrying nukes.

Thanks for your help!

Not exactly what you're looking for, but you may find this of interest:

It deals with some "typical" SAC routines and gives a good detailed glimpse at training, including the dangers.
