Can anyone remember the range and burst radius of the 106mm? Just wondering how it compared to a 105 howitzer. I know the difference between direct and indirect fire. Learn the hard lesson at an early range after calling a 8" howitzer a gun.
Thanks,

The 106 recoilless was a Direct Fire Anti-Tank Weapon and not an Anti-Personel Weapon. The warhead consisted of a shaped charge and was not very effective against troops because of the poor fragmentation effect. Effective Range was around 1,000 yards.
