Here is my 1st ever grandchild, Jacob. He is about 7 weeks old in this picture and it was the first time I had seen him. How great is it to be a grandpa!?

Bill,
Great looking youngster thar. ( thank the man up stairs he dont look like you )
What ya afraid of holding the most precious thing in the world for ? You held your daughter ( momma ) of the baby.
Just wait for a couple of more years, then that little rascal will walk right up to you and say GRANDPA . Then you will know how the meaning of having a grandson feels like.
Dont be like me, and spoil him from word go.
His name isnt Bill by any chance is it?
I named my youngest son after me and my dad, so just wondering if your daughter done the same.
enough,,,,,,,,,, and GOOD LUCK with SPOILING ONE PRECIOUS BABY !!

Grandpa,
Greatest promotion in the world! You get to go home after the diapers and bottles, and the spit on your shoulder smells like roses. And you wanna go back for more.
Contrats and spoil him; as I tell Colin, "It's Payback time!".

Cute little kid! In the first pic he looks like he's saying, "Jeez, who the hell is that hairy SOB with the bright light?"

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Unfortunately, my son and his family live about 500 miles away in Eugene, OR so this Grandpa gig is going to require some road trips on both of our parts.
Reeb, this is my son, not daughter, so the name lives on. While he didn't name him Bill, he did give him the middle name of Paul. That is both his and my middle name.
LT - I was kind of jealous that my 1st grandchild was born before yours and you got to see yours first. But the wait was definitely worth it.
Thanks again.

Bill,
I'm so happy for you. What a darling your new grandson is. No grandchildren for me. My son is married to a wonderful young lady that has four children but they already have two sets of grandparents that keep them very busy. My girls are single and very busy withwonderful careers. I do think grandchildren have to be the best of both worlds. You can spoil them rotten then give them back to their parents. :a:
What a great way for you to start the New Year being able to hold the future in your arms. Congratulations Grandpa!!! And thankyou for all you do for ourVeterans and their families.
