SECOND INDOCHINA WAR:
February 15, 1965 (14th day of the 1st month, Year of the Snake [At Ti]) (US Advisory): The battle of Mang Yang Pass in II Corps begins: Viet Cong ambush and destroy a large South Vietnamese convoy in the Mang Yang Pass, effecting blocking Highway 19 to Pleiku.

February 15, 1966 (26th day of the 1st month, Year of the Horse [Binh Ngo]) (US Counteroffensive): The 155th AHC supports the 3rd Brigade, 45th Battalion, 23rd ARVN Division in a search and destroy operation north of Ban Me Thuot.

THIRD INDOCHINA WAR:
February 15, 1979 (19th day of the 1st month, Year of the Goat [Ky Mui]): Vietnam says that China is "feverishly preparing for war." Western analysts believe that China now has 19 divisions (150,000 to 160,000 men) and several hundred military aircraft within 40 miles of the Vietnamese border. (TVW)
