Clifford M. Desautels, 54
WEST SAND LAKE - Clifford M. Desautels, 54, died at his home on Saturday with his family at his side.
Born in Troy on October 15, 1949, he was the son of Theresa Farrell Loiselle and Armand Loiselle and the late J. Clifford Desautels.
He was a graduate of St. Josephs School and La Salle Institute, both in Troy.
Clifford served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the 1st Air Cavalry.
At the time of his death, Clifford was working on his master's degree in education at the College of Saint Rose.
In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, painting military figurines and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he also is survived by his wife, Lisa S. DiNatale of West Sand Lake; his sisters, Desiree Bargy of West Sand Lake and Linnette Pozefsky of Colonie; his brothers, James Loiselle of Londonderry, NH, and David Loiselle of West Sand Lake; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Loiselle.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, and at 9:30 a.m. at St Henry's Church, County Route 45, Averill Park. Interment will follow with full military honors at St. Henry's Cemetery in Averill Park.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
The family would like to thank Rev. Brian Raiche and the people at Community Hospice for their special care they gave Clifford during his illness
