Fri. (7/23), the History Channel ran a new series at 9 pm. The series looks at battles, but uses computer gaming technology to illustrate the battles. It was well done. The 1st one was the Battle of Canne (251 B.C.). With expert commentary, even old jarheads like me, could understand it.

Yeah, I saw it and it was cool. But like the ads said, they won't need re-enactors (like me) anymore. So much for my 15 minutes!

I saw that also and I though the computer engine they used was excilent . The battle made scence the way they explained it even to a sailor ,The graphics they used are comming out in a new computer game called ROME total war. I have seen it advertised before , on T V .

I miss this show. It was called "Decisive Battles". My favorite was the episode dealing with Thermopalye.
