Wasn't lucky enough to know him,but if he's Siss's brother he just natrurally had to be good folks. We ain't got enough good folks now, sure can't afford to spare any. We've all suffered a loss.
Siss,if there's anything at all we can do that might help just give us a tiny little hint.
We love ya.

Now you all don't fret, Bob met up with Frank on Rainbow Bridge at ten minutes to seven central time last night. His dog Barkley was waiting for him there. By testimony of his physical terrorist no one could have fought harder than Bob to come back from his near death experience this summer. Bob has always been the come back kid.
I want to say thank youto all the staff on 8A North of the Milwaukee VA for your love and concern. You were all a blessing from on high. Thank you to the WWII Vet that volunteered to give up his room to Bob so the family could stay with him. God Bless you Sir. We don't even have your name as of yet but I'll find out today.Thank you Grizfor your patience and loving friendship. I love you. Thank you to my bestest "girlfriend"in all the worldDMZ-LT.
A huge thank you to the first Lady in Bob's life his wife Cindy. She carried his ruck when he couldn't carry it anymore. The strength and courage of his children and their love for their Dad has been an awesome thing for these eyes to witness. A man has never been soshowered with love, grace and mercy fromhis family, to the people he met in the smoke room, and staffon8A North. There was testimony by all that he had encouragedthem all.He spoke oftento them of hisdesire to go home to be withour LordJesus Christ.
This isthe home going we as believers look forward to. His faith and the faith of his boys rather than being destroyed by this evil disease was renewed and made strong as they stood their Ground for their faith keeping faith with their Lord, His life and death and His Word. Thank you all for your love and prayers for him and all of us. He would want you to light your Christmas lights, open gifts, and most of all take care of yourfamily, your brothers and sisters thatserved before you, served with you, and are serving now.
I'll post the information on arrangements when we have them. The service will be after Christmas. You know we have to have Christmas for thelittle guy. (Cindy's grandson)

Bob was laid to rest in a beautiful setting insouthern WI surrounded by his brothers and sisters that went before him.I am happy because it is away from the city and out inrolling farm country. Hechose theplace, going alone to visitwhile he was well enough to drive.
Entering the grounds I looked up and sawthe flagwe lovedand he died for along with the POW-MIA flag flying. You all know the feeling of pride you havein your friends and loved ones that pay such a high pricefor their countryandwould do it all over again.
A Milwaukee police officer played Amazing Grace on the pipes for Bob in honor of his time spent after Vietnam as a Police Officer in Chicago. The Navy Hymn was played. The flag was presented by the honor guard to his daughter. The First Cav was represented by the young man who played taps. I don't know all the patches but I damn sure know that one and will never forget the men on this forum that it represents to methat have loved and prayed for me and myfamily.
At the endof thedaythere wasamagnificentsunset of cloudsreflecting pinks andgoldsof the sun's raysas though it was special ordered by Bobtoremind us to keep lookin'up.
Thank you all again for your love and prayers. We have lost another member of our extended family, the sister of my daughter in law. A young mother withtwo children. She had a hard fight with cancer also and is finally at peace. We buried Bob on the 28th she passed on the 29th. We will bury her on Monday. This is not going to be easy. She was a beautiful young woman full of love and faith. An encourgement to all around her.
Please forgive me for being as the song says "one poor correspondent andto to hard to find" you all are in my prayers and on my mind. I know each and everyone of you have your own ruck that can get mighty heavy at times.

Traded some enjoyable posts with Bob [Dead Man Walking]. Quite a guy. Arrow, you know my heart goes out to you and the rest of Bob's family, and I know it was his time and that he was ready. I know Death came knocking on his door a couple of times before this, and he WASN'T ready. Yeah,......quite a guy.

Though we all have to move on in some time or manner those of us who know each other will never loose those memories that remain. Your loss is tragic and your pain so very deep. But we will pray for you and in our hearts we will keep, He's gone for now but so is the pain. He's now one of God's soldiers and he knows just how much you all cared about him.
My best to you and your family during these difficult times.
