Hi everyone, I found this forum while searching for some Marine Corps quotes. I forgot about what it was I was looking for and began to indulge in this site. Outstanding stuff and outstanding people here! I couldn't wait to register to say hello.
I'm a peacetime Marine ('85-'89). My MOS was 5811 :11:(Military Police). I was assigned to HMX-1 Presidential Helicopter Squadron as a Security Guard for my entire tour (part of the time at Quantico, VAand part of the time at NAS Anacostia, Washington D.C.) I didn't want another tour at the time, although sometimes I wish I had.
I've never seen combat myself. I thank God for all of you that did though. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for doing battle on behalf of me and my family.
Right now, I work as a Quality Assurance Professional specializing in ISO documentation for a precision laser and electron beam welding company. The military training I received still plays an important role in all I do.
Well, I've said enough for now. I guess I'll see you out there in the forums!

Welcome aboard. Be very very careful while in some of the forums. There are a great bunch of guys here, but sometime they spend to much time in the Warrior Saloon drinking Only God knows what. Be careful of the lass at the end on the bar if you go their, she has a big bat. If you know anything about arson invest. you can have my slot. I want to move up to robbery-homicide. Do you know anything about inner tubes and chickens?

As the designated Curmudgeon Emeritus of this site, you are duly warned about certain participants here, as their medication levels need adjusting. Many harbor animal fantasies, excessive belching capabilities, and delusions about brownies. You may even be invited to a picnic at Psyco Mountain for choir practice, brownie bake-off, and midget tossing, Olymipic style.
We're only here to help!

Welcome aborad Ed.
What ever you do, do not trust Brice, he is so far removed from reality he thinks he was once a COL, and now even thinks that some of us are "bad" people and tries to counsel us and charge us for the service. Please, please, watch that guy!

Now that you heard from the rest....Its time you heard from the best!!!!...First of all welcome aboard and thanks for your service.
Im the self appointed chief of police for the PVPD. who is attempting to build the best police dept the Psyco vets ever had.
The only problem I have is my choice of people to select from.
Watch out for SuperScout, he's a scam artist ( he keeps trying to rip us off on therapy fees thinking he can help us who have a fetish for farm animals).
Doc 2/47 will kill any animal you have, no matter how deeply involved you are with her
Old Seabee. Im just gonna say one thing.....Dont eat the chicken, it's been injected with massive doses of vitamen E
Catman. He's the sickest, he would prefer a good woman over a a cute bovine any day.
Being the chief I must remain normal and mature guiding these misplaced souls through the perils of life....I would like to talk more but theres a brownie on the kitchen table that needs eatin'

Until I do a complete psychological evaluation:
Too. . . . many crazies on this thread.
I'm the only normal one and I don't believe I'm normal.
As the unofficial, self-appointed therapist for this site I can't stop you from posting but beware of the psyco's.

Belated Welcome Wishes from the Boats. I hope you have some good stuff to report on so that we can have come current issues to discuss. We've beaten the past to death many times of late.
We can alway use the new blood to refresh the issues at hand and add another perspective. Good Luck on this as these guys are pretty hard core on most subjects. But they still have the passion that makes them what are - my friends.

Welcome aboard.
Plus, and seeming like a nice enough sort
from you initial post,...I don't even hold it
against you for being a marine. :D :D :D
Just kiddin. Anyone, even a Sea Scout that
signs on the bottom line to put his butt on the
line for me and mine,...is A-OK in my book.
It's just a 7th Cav thing.

Corporal_Ed, I'm new on here and I still get lost in so many forums to choose from, so much to absorb, like a kid in a candy store. I'm pleased to meet you and I have a million questions about your duty. I know much of it is probably off limits and I respect that. I met a few guys who guarded Camp David when I was at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland and they were very entertaining. Semper Fi Bro, Scott - 0311 for life
