Hello all,

My name is Jason, i live in Oxford in the UK, i'm a former rifleman (infantryman) in the British Territorial army (in the 80's) and have an interest in military history, particularly British colonial wars (Anglo-Sikh wars, Anglo-Afghan wars), Napoleonic wars and the American war of independence.

Hello Jason,

Besides being a USAF vet, I'm an American Revolution re-enactor and have had many a "Lobsterback" in my gunsights, along with Hessians, and Loyalist scum. I've been to England myself; great country, funny accents, excellent beer & ale!

Welcome aboard! And despite what Stick said, we really aren't sorry about that tea thing!

Jason, Welcome aboard......Was there a party in Boston and I missed it?....If all they were serving was tea and no scotch, then I'm glad I didn't go!!!

Jason this may look like a military history site. But it really is my online therapy group. I'm the self-appointed and unofficial therapist for this site. I have determined that I'm the only normal one on this site and I'm not really sure about me. So if you have any questions about the mental stability of those on this site all I can say is: "what mental stability?"

A Great Site: Lots of good men and women on this site. I'm sure you'll enjoy the veterans on this site.

Jason,

Cordial invitation for a free cousneling session, from either Keith or me! I charge a lower rate, but he claims to have better results from his therapy.

Glad you called it the American war of independence, rather than the "Period of Colonial Indifference"!

I am sorry for being late welcoming you aboard, been spending too much time in the Warriors Saloon. A word of caution if you visit the Saloon watch out for the green eyed lass, she is sweet and kind, but does have a temper at time, like when you bring your chicken or bovine date in for a drink, or want to roast your dinner on the floor. If Bob K offers you a brownie have it lab tested before you eat it. And always remember to buy a round for all.

Welcome Jason, I'm new here also but I believe we will fit in because so many on this site seem to have a receptive frame of mind (except for politics ). I used to live in Wembley, Middlesex, long ago as a kid, when my Dad was part of the Marine Detachment assigned to the U.S.Embassy. I've always had a soft spot for the English and also for the Royal Marines, especially the Commandos that fought along side my Dad in Korea at the Chosin Reservoir. Semper Fi, Scott
