Thank you so much for the link to the German White Paper onto my post and welcome, Welcome, WELCOME to the Patriotfiles.
It's things like that link that make the Patriotfiles what it is today and I'll be happy to hand that "White" paper over to my grandson, Brian who was given an assignment by his History teacher in the eighth grade and through the replies to the original post, I bet Brian scores very well on that assignment. I learned quite a bit reading that paper myself.
David Baily set up the Patriotfiles when he came back from Iraq almost nine years ago when he came back from Operation Iraqi Freedom, and saw that there wasn't anything that was "Dedicate to the preservation of military history" on line and we've exploded to more than 10,000 members since then and today we're even used as a resource to the American Library of Congress. You'll read from members from around the globe and for some reason or other we all enjoy coming here. By your post I can see that you've got that "Military History" bug too, so don't make yourself scarce. I'm Stick, a.k.a. John, Vietnam vet, class of 67-68.
