Let us know what bookstores it will be in, Have you scheduled any signing tours yet?

Book signing tours haven't been scheduled as yet. I'm kinda in yer face with it online, but I want to see how word of mouth does with this first book out in the 'real world'. I expect it to work like it has with Morning Cofee onna internet. There's gonna be an intital run of folks here and there all over the country and Canada and places all around the world, askin' their local bookstore for the book, then it oughta slow down some fer a short spell, and sales should pick up as folks start talkin' about it. It is my hope that without of lot of the usual hoo-fer-rah over book marketing that this will become something of a quiet phenomenon that'll get folks attention that way.

Two websites are in the works fer marketing and purchasing the book online. The book's goin' to be available from at least ten thousand retail and wholesale outfits around the world, includin' the big guys like Barnes and Noble and such. So...if the book ain't on the shelf at yer local bookstore buy the middle of this coming September, you can order it probably just in time fer the holidays. Takes about week-ten days to order it and get it in.

There's not a big budget fer marketing this. I expect the book to pay it's own way. I'll get some more info on outlets and wholesalers for ya.

'Mornin' folks! How the hell are ya this mornin' anyway? Coffee's on, it's good and it's strong! Ya best get a cup and get some! Paper'll be along after a bit, I reckon.

Well, I'm gonna do somethin' I don?t do much. Back to yesterday's bit of visitin'. ...or something like it, anyway. What is the cost of truth? Now once again, not the truth as I know it or want it to be, but truth kinda like the sun goin' up and comin' down, kinda truth. You know, you drop a knife on yer foot, it's gonna hurt some, kinda truth. Things that are kinda self-evident.

Well, what got me goin' this mornin' was onna website where Mornin' Coffee's been fer a bit. They made me a moderator awhile back, without askin' me about it I might add. Means I got more buttons to play with than regular members onna site. Anyway, they had a member come in last week a spoutin' anti-American horseshit. I called him on it, then proved him six different kinds a wrong, and not only that, I pointed out where his views were the same as several anti-American political parties and activist groups. I told folks to do their own research into the matter. I posted some evidence on my point of view, and figgered that'd give 'em a pretty good start. I cussed him out, too, cause I fought over that very same thing with him on at least two other websites before, and whipped him then.

Well, it seems that the site owner figgers I ain't real acceptin' of other's points of view on things. Well, hell no, I ain't! Not when those views are based on anti-American and anti-Christian activism...and proven lies to boot. I keep tellin' folks around here that they don't got to agree with anything I say about nuthin', long as they're a thinkin' some. Feller runnin' that site says I want things all my way. Well, if that were true regardin' websites, I woulda had my own some time ago...two of 'em free of charge on other Marine's servers, and another at next to nuthin' on yet another Marine's server. So he's proven wrong on that accusation on at least two counts. Internal evidence and external evidence has proven him wrong there, ya see.

I posted a bit of other stuff backin' up my position. Things like those basic tenets all Marines are supposed to learn and memorize by heart in boot camp. Things that mention God, truth, honor, and such...includin' our Oath of Enlistment, The Code of Conduct, The NCO Creed, The Core Values of Honor, Courage, Commitment, among several others. I even went so much further as to post a buncha stuff right outta the Book about liars and deceivers and such. From swearin' before God and man that we'd tell the truth, to showin' what we were swearin' to God for. To protect a Nation, It's people, and It's Constitution, from all threats, foreign and domestic....in the Name of God. A God who does not like liars, and does not like those who accept lies and liars.

When fellow Marines accept the proven lies of an anti-American activist as just one more acceptable point of view...I fear for this nation, for it's people, and for The Constitution that created it all. A Constitution based, in it's essence, upon the precepts of God.

The cost of truth in this case wasn't very high for me. I do not think that I'll be welcome back at that website. Indeed, I do not know that I will go back to that website, for I had told them that if anything like those lies were posted on Morning Coffee, that I would leave. So I left. Wasn't a threat. Just reality is all. If you accept lies and liars, especially anti-American lies and liars, I ain't stickin' around. I got better things to do with my time. In order to avoid a full out 'flame war', I had even stopped posting anything on any other thread there for several days before now.

Thing is, bein' a moderator there, I figgered if they didn't like the truth, they didn't want Morning Coffee there anymore...so I deleted the whole thread... Something about knockin' the dust of the place off yer feet when ya leave... Forgiveness is one thing. Foolishness is stickin' around when no one wants to listen to ya. If they ain't listenin', they ain't gonna be askin' for forgiveness. Ya just turn the mess over to the Boss and let Him deal with it. "Fuck it. Keep movin." is the way folks inna Marine Corps often say it. "It don't mean nuthin'..." ...even if ya don't wanta move anymore, even if it matters a lot...

Lyin' to yerself is the worst sort of sin. Learnin' how ridiculous we sound when we lie to others?and learnin' from that?what respect, duty, and honor might mean, not only to ourselves, but to others as well. So, I'll move on, and with this curse, I will leave them up to God. "May the Lord bless and keep them all the days of their lives." A curse indeed to an unbeliever and a follower of lies and deception. A blessing indeed when they turn from their ways...and come believe in Truth.

Well, enough of that rant I reckon. Thanks fer lettin' me unload a bit. I needed that. Warm up yer cups, folks! It's a new day! We got another opportunity to get 'er right! We got another chance to get 'er all sorted out. Try to take advantage of it, will ya?

Well Bones a Man Has To Follow His Own Heart To Be True To Himself. I know exactly what you are talking about and can't say I exactly blame you, I have come to respect the things that you post and look forward to them at every opportunity. That other site just suffered a great loss but it was their decision and theirs to suffer with.

I personally would like to Thank You for your work and say that I respect anyone that stands up and backs up their beliefs regardless of the fallout. Is that not part and parcel of being Marines? Again Thank You Bones for the excellent job you have been doing here on Morning Coffee.

Partly, I just didn't want to be in a flamewar, or the cause of one. That's one of the main reasons I went ahead and left that place. I knew he end from the beginnin' on that one before I ever said a word last week.

I usually try to have more than one reason fer doin' what I'm doin'. ...reasons, that is. Not excuses.

I'm at the point in my life where I've been through some pretty bad shit. Lots of folks don't know it, but I'm content whatever my circumstances are anymore, so rich or poor, influence, or power or position, I don't much care what the other feller's got goin'. 'Long's he's real folks and treatin' others about half right is all that matters to me. Lot of folks don't understand that about me, ya see. It ain't what's onna outside that counts with me. It's what's onna inside of a person. What's onna inside of a person will show up sooner or later every time, no matter what kinda facade they put on fer the rest of the world.

I might not always be right about things in other folks' eyes, but I got my reasons fer bein' wrong! If bein' wrong puts me against liars and decievers and barracks thieves, I'll be wrong every time. :D
