As usual we agree on most. Still,...why this Kurd or Arab B.S., nonsense or who caught who oneupsmanship propaganda is even being debated here seems truly strange and silly. Also, why isn't this over in the: GENERAL section,...instead of here with POLITICS?

Though, and in fairness, and since politics in general is mostly inconsequential B.S., and has no merit for The Average American Citizen and/or: "The UN-Connected" or UN-Represented ANYWAY,...maybe such foreign nonsense actually belongs here in The World of The Surreal, The Patronizing World of Purposeful Phoniness and/or politics?

Regardless, I will always find it absolutely amazing that some Americans will most always find American Leftists and foreigners (even foreign enemies, collaborators and supporters) more believable than Fellow Trustworthy Americans (Clintons excluded understandably). Maybe such is due the deceptive brainwashing over the years, in that American Leftists and their foreign counterparts are more so trustworthy and caring,...than We despicable, heartless, vicious and Conservative and differently honest Americans? :D :D :D

Whatever,...I hope that We don't eventually get inconsequentially (quite foolishly also) politicized and/or divided to death. Silly politics aside,...I think that bringing back some UNITY & NATIONALISM into the equation while politicizing everything MUCH LESS might help us survive. Hey,...isn't it better to be politically-incorrect and ALIVE, rather than just being stupidly and/or politically-correct and DEAD? I sure think so,...even if making me seem: "Intollerant" and "Insensitive".

As I have stated many times, I am a Libertarian now. ( http://www.lp.org/ ) Both political parties are just putting on a show, in my opinion. Behind the scenes they all work together. Sort of like pro wrestlers. I favor returning to what our founding fathers intended for our country.
What we have now, and what they established, are far different from each other.

Andy, in answer to your question, it was a combination of things.
I began to look at all the ways the federal government has passed laws and regulations to the detriment of its citizens, spending money it doesn't have on projects and programs that will be in place, and be still as unnecessary, when we are all dust.
I considered the history of lies, distortions, half-truths, and deceptions, and the politicians ( of both parties ) who enable this to continue.

I just do not look at politics like a football game anymore. Choose a side and yell and scream for naught, because when it is over "any way you look at it you lose." ( from the song "Mrs. Robinson ).

An overly pessimistic view ? Perhaps. I prefer to call it realistic. I still think there is hope.
I have an eternal soul, free will, and believe in God and Jesus Christ, and firmly believe in the intent and purpose of our Constitution. Good ALWAYS prevails over evil. The Bible says so.
That is good enough for me.
