Your right Larry...

And that's my point. Many are pinning their hopes on a Dem pres with Dem Congress....well, I'm backing that...but not betting that it will be any better. Our system is the greatist in the world....lord help the rest of the world.

We can give the North Korean Army food, but no decent GI Bill for our troops.

Maybe this is paranoid, but who says they're eating it? What exactly is being sent?

Don't suppose they might be producing fuel with our foodstuffs, do ya?

If we can, they certainly can. And they may have a little more incentive to do so.

With Kim Jong Ill and Co., it is entirely possible that they would make something else if a grain product is sent. The ‘A’ number one, primo distiller-counterfeiter of JD in the world is North Korea. JD is dirt-cheep in Asia, especially in Vietnam, all counterfeit except at a Five Star, and there it is unaffordable. On the other hand, the street JD will give ya a serious head sick plus a big time, double-end, internal pressure purge experience.
Except for the military, government and some DPRK industries, there isn’t all that much motor transport in North Korea. Evidently Kim prefers the ‘ox cart’ economy and fully intends to keep it that way. Given a choice between distilling counterfeit booze for export or setting up an ethanol process for local transport, my guess is that booze would be the first choice and all the subsiquent choices on the singular page of choices.

Scamp,

Help me out: JD?

I don't get out much...

goodnessgracie 05-20-2008 11:43 AM

Like, uh, Jack Daniel's???

How good is knock-off Jack Daniel's?

Seascamp 05-20-2008 12:19 PM

Correct, JD = Jack Daniel's. I hear it is so-so in very limited amounts. I won't try it though; think cluck-cluck, but have watched the results of other than 'very limited amounts' and it's not a pretty sight. :(

It's always a big clue when the locals won't touch the street stuff but know where the real stuff can be found. ;)

Yeah, I get it.

Better stick to the stuff they sell ya at the distillery in Lynchburg. Is that still (does it continue to exist) in a dry county???

Doc Hal? Locksly?
