Doc....
Different people using different carving methods aside, I guess that if there's a moral to that strange story/report, it must be to definitely DO NOT knock or mock peoples eating habits anywhere or anyplace,...and especially during Thanksgiving Time? :D
Or, and even when no children are seated,...still have only spoons on the dinner table, and all sharp stuff locked-away. Difficult eating turkey that way. But, certainly a-lot-safer in Massachussetts. :) But then, who-the-hell-knows? Maybe The Nut just watched too-many-damn-Viking Movies? :cd: The ones I saw did seem to get a bit rowdy while dining and during festivities. Throwing a hatchet during dining and festivities in: "The Viking", just to cut some blond's pigtail,...was truly quite impressive to me. Such hatchet throwing accuracy must've truly impressed The Blond also? Don't you think, Doc? :D Neil |
It sounds like to me . . . . . ?
It seems to me that the Turkey did the carving. :D
Oh well just forget it, its late. Keith :D |
Neil,
Yeah, I know that scene from "The Vikings" very well. It inspired me to learn to throw a hatchet with accuracy. Sometimes at our Rev War encampments we set up a target (a 2' diameter X 3" thick round piece of wood sawed from a large log) on a tripod made of cut saplings. We put a playing card in the center and try to "cut the deck". The best I ever did was to split a card at 30'; not a bad shot if I do say so myself. So far, though, we haven't been able to talk one of our ladies into a re-enactment of the "Vikings" bit. Broads; they can't take a joke! |
Doc...
Inspite or your hatchet expertise, if you do find one of: "Our ladies" willing to go-along with that hatchet routine,...P-U-L-E-E-E-ASE send name and address.
Hell, anybody that can be talked or bullshitted into THAT, most certainly can be BS'd into ANYTHING,...which sounds like: "The Girl of My Dreams". Neil :b: P.S. Only good at bayonet throwing, bull and kink. :D :D :D |
