update

Yesterday(9-11) I was in so much pain again I went back to the VA. I have a blood clot in my left leg from the kidney stone sugery. I am back home on more drugs, An anti-coagulant (wayfarin) and 2 shots a day in the stomach of lovenox a blood thinner. The VA medical staff was nothing but the best. Once they confirmed the blood clot with a sonogram they called my clinic. My Dr. came to radiology and personally escorted me (i mean he pushed me in a wheelchair around the hospital) to the lab for blood draw and tests, the cardiac unit for EKG, to pharmacy to check the lab tests on a computer and order medicine. then to the learning center to have them show me how to give myself the shots. I have to tell you that I have had nothing but the finest and most attentive care from the VA.

Still have pain in the leg but lots of pain killers. Have to go to the hospital every week for blood and lab tests to check on the balance of the medicines, Doc said pain should go away in 4 or 5 days when the clot starts dissolving.

Sid,

You probably know this but be careful on the Wayfarin, it's rat poison, but works. I may be mistaken but pretty sure.

Hang in there...you got alot of work to do before April! :)

The Wayfarin must be working. I had to bring him 6 grilled cheese sandwitches yesterday to stop him from knawing through an electrical cord :xx:

Sid,

Come on out and we'll climb Mt Adams next summer. You are going to get better!

Keith

P.S. With friends like the LT who needs enemies. :D
Knawing on the cord and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Just disgusting and unsympathic sense of humor. :D

Keith, sorry I missed

The post about the climb, I was going to send the psyco vets flag so you could take a pic with it on the mountain top. Feeling better this morning, not quite so much pain in my leg. I have been cooped up for 6 weeks now and looks like still will be for at least another week. May have to get loose and come out that way before long.

Sid,

Come on out and do an elk hunt with Chris and I. I believe Nov is the hunting season for elk. (haven't looked at the regs yet) Chris, wants me to be his packer and bird dog now that I've gotten into shape. :D

I was going to make a little paper flag but forgot. Mt. Adams is one big Mountain. I'm sure glad we didn't wait another week to do the climb. The temps dropped and the rains came in. We be in snow, wind and cold. It only got down to 28 degrees on the climb but I'm sure it would be closer to 10 degrees now. And fresh snow.

Get better soon. And would you tell Chris I'm not a bird dog. :D

Keith
