Just a note:

As a few of you may have known;

I had arthoscopic knee surgery on rigth knee, on Feb 13. Cleaned up a damage cartlege and some damage done to one small tendon. Everything went well. Been sleeping through the night with no pain (first time in a long time). No real pain in the joint But, gets sore if I walk on it too much. Prognosis is great, no arthritus found.

Chris Welch said I should keep you guys informed.

That's great Keith, did you start your five mile daily runs yet?

I am sure I put that many on back and forth to the frig everyday!

Take care brother,
Trav

Great Keith,

DO AS THE DOCS SAY, AND NOT WHAT YOU SAY.

Good rest is hard to come by these days ( with no meds)

Hope it heals in a hurry.

enough...............

Keith,
1000 posts?!? I signed on a day before you and I barely have a "hunnert." That's because my wife told me a long time ago to "siddown and shaddup!"

Seriously, its great to hear the operation is a success. I pray that it will keep getin' better-n-better.

Keith, don't forget to do your exercises (even if it is painful) , they really speed up your recovery.

keith...

...hope your knee stays on the mend, and work it slow...

...twisted my ankle so severe back in the 80's that it never healed , have yet to find a doctor that can fix what I did...

...I've had x rays, and MRI's, and they just tell me tendons, and ligiments are like rubber bands, and once their overstreched that bad, they don't come back...

...my left calf is 14 inches, and my right is 13 1/2 inches due to ???attrophe???..., and a 1/2 inch difference in a calf measurement is a lot (part of my sleep problem also) leg just always hurts...

...but one the good side today, Chris mentioned fish...

...kinda took the day off, and went to the game roast at the rod, and gun club,... they do it once a year, and the feast they put out this year was fantastic...

...venison EVERYTHING,...

chili, livers wrapped in bacon, pepperoni, liverworst, smoked strips by the platter, trout, perch, frog legs, wild turkey, phesant, and quail,... bear meatballs , smoked strips...

...and raffles, I won a buck 110, 100year edition, and two "psycovets sleepingbags" minus the bullet holes" for the kids,(prob walmart ones)...

10 bucks for all you could eat, and drink, but I didn't drink, was worth it regardless...

...ops, sorry, I farted.................

I know all about glass houses but dropping a couple of pounds just might help a little.
Think about doing some deep knee bends. You'll get people doing more for you if your in a wheelchair.

Get healthy,
Andy

Keith!

Didn't know that you were having surgery. Glad to hear that it seems to be going well. I all too well know the pains of having it and the recovery process. Do your PT!

MORE PT DRILL SERGEANT!

Get well soon buddy!

Thanks for all the concern!

Just got back from the Doc. He showed me all the pics of knee.

I had a severe tear in my medial meniscus cartilage. Very little arthritus was found! He said that was great news! They cleaned up the tear. Said it would take a month or so before the soreness left. Told me to spend as much time as possible sitting in the lazy boy with my knee up and pack it with ice in the evenings. Hey I have an excuse to be a couch potatoe! He said that in about a month the cartilage should have healed itself and I should be off restriction and soreness should be gone.

Mostly good news but the tear in the cartilage was worse than they thought and the healing process will take a little longer.
Thank you all for you kind thoughts and prayers

Keith
