Kerry's Abhorent Voting Record
Sen. John Kerry
Democrat from Massachusetts says he is strongest Presidential Candidate on National Defense ! He said Check the Record.. We Did ! Here is what we learned. He voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle He voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank He voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988 He voted to kill the Aegis anti aircraft system He voted to Kill the F-15 strike eagle He voted to Kill the Block 60 F-16 He voted to Kill the P-3 Orion upgrade He voted to Kill the B-1 He voted to Kill the B-2 He voted to Kill the Patriot anti Missile system He voted to Kill the FA-18 He voted to Kill the B-2 He voted to Kill the F117 He voted to kill every military appropriation for the development and deployment of every weapons systems since 1988, including a bill for battle armor for our troops. It is most likely, with Sen. John Kerry as President and Commander in Chief of our Armed Services, that they will cease to function making it impossible for our country to protect itself John Kerry voted to kill all anti-terrorism activities of each and every agency of the U.S. Government. He voted to cut the funding of the FBI by 60%, He voted to cut the funding for the CIA by 80%, He voted to cut the funding for the NSA by 80%. THEN, and this is abhorant to almost every American Voter be you Democrat, Republican or Independent He voted to increase OUR funding for U.N operations by 800% !! Ask yourself Is THIS a the person you want as President of these United States providing for the Common Defense of the Nation and be the Leader of the Free World ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Voting history can be accessed through Senate voting records. The above is an accurate summary. |

Great ending question!!! My answer as a sane, sensible and patriotic American,...MUST BE: No-way-in-hell!
Besides, and to further explain my answer to you (all others inclusive),...is the fact that my parents never raised any easily duped fools, stupid followers or purposefully deceiving and manipulating politicians, whom would sacrifice all Americans just so as to: "Recapture The Whitehouse". Thusly, how could I possibly think any different? Also, during wartime America simply can no longer afford the luxury of doing business as usual and/or continue being entertained by the never ending and quite public-deceiving Dem/Lib political carnival, merely so some clique can once again: "Recapture The White House"? During our most nationally dangerous of all wartimes, I personally find such capitulating to everything foreign to America zealots ,...NO LONGER AMUSING. Quite the opposite. In fairness, I must exclude Democrat Senator Lieberman from my normally broad brush Dem/Lib attack. Only one of such I've heard speak to date that makes sense, and can actually be believed. How-the-hell did he ever end up with such an untrustworthy and UN type thinking political crowd/clique? Neil :d: :b: P.S. Sorry forgot to rate your thread: "Best" and/or 5 stars. Maybe your next response will do just that? |
And if we were to burrow down into the middle earth caverns where the Kerry book and other artifacts are secreted away there would be a few more surprises. At a time Kerry was an advocate of turning command of the US military over to the UN. I can?t say that he still advocates such insanity but he sure did at one time, yup.

So then,...would it be correct in assuming that Kerry also, and not just Clinton alone, had much to do with the quite lethal Somali debacle, caused by ordering that U.S. Troops be under the command of UN COMMANDERS in Somalia???
Hey, and especially supporting the U.S. Military: "With friends (Commanders and Presidents inclusive) like these, who-the-hell-needs-enemies (terrorists also)"? Neil |
I'M CONFUSED...
I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe. Lemme see; have I got this straight? Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good... Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad... Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good... Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad... Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good... Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad... Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists good... Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad... Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good... Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad... Clinton commits felonies while in office - good... Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad... Clinton says mass graves in Serbia - good... Entire world says WMD in Iraq - bad... No mass graves found in Serbia - good... No WMD found Iraq - bad... Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good... Economy on upswing under Bush - bad... Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good... World Trade Centers fall under Bush - bad... Clinton says Saddam has nukes - good... Bush says Saddam has nukes - bad... Clinton calls for regime change in Iraq - good... Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad... Terrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good... Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad... Milosevic not yet convicted - good... Saddam turned over for trial - bad... Ahh, it's so confusing ! |
Neil........
As it turned out, it was UN Pakistani troops that bailed the US troops out of hell in Somalia/Mogadishu and I don?t believe that particular US contingent was under UN command at the time. The rub was that US forces were operating without informing the UN forces what the heck was going on and there was some backlash/rescue delay associated with that particular acramony.
Rather, that was a sad saga of US forces sent out to accomplish a mission and being denied requested and appropriate contingency equipment if things went wrong. Clinton owns that debacle all by his only, and it had to do with not appearing too aggressive and appeasing/kissing the ever-present UN ass, ta dot ta da. As I recall Clinton identified a scrape goat/whipping boy in his administration, did an obligatory firing of someone in the decision loop and that was about it for that episode. Scamp |

First-off thanks again to Zuni for another eye-opener and public awakener entitled: "I'M CONFUSED".
Still Scamp, my recollection of The Somali Debacle is somewhat different than yours. I remember a small American Force biting-off more than they could chew, since not realizing that they were conducting a mission right in the middle of a hornet's nest and/or right in the heart of where most all of The Somali Warlord's WELL ARMED forces were grouped and encamped. I also recall that even though armored support was desperately needed and warranted from the onset, none was permitted by The UN COMMAND for days,...and why placiing U.S. Forces under UN COMMAND should rightfully haunt Clinton, clique and supporters to their dying days (plus thereafter). Regardless, and even though so many brave men were killed and wounded, given their fiercely fighting against such overwhelming odds, I cannot believe that the fighting forces of any other nation on earth would've fought as well and so courageously. Any others, would've just given-up or surrendered. Still, I hope that stupidly placing American Troops precariously out on a limb by putting them UNDER UN COMMAND & UN SUPPORT by Our Political War Lords, just never happens again. "America's Finest" deserve better. Hell,...A LOT BETTER. The UN (just like some politicians) simply cannot be counted on in general,...much less while under fire or during wartime. Neil |
Neil,
I?m fairly certain the Rangers and Delta team had absolute knowledge that they were choppering right into the epicenter of the Mogadishu Bakara market place shit-storm and reckoned speed and surprise would get them in and out in a hurry. Didn?t work that way as things came unraveled right from the get-go and they were in deep, deep trouble. But that?s what I recall and, alas, I?m not all that trustworthy when it comes to total recall, LOL. :cd: Anyway, hooking up with the UN is not unlike getting stuck in the La Bra tar pits and the best possible and most optimistic outcome is to become an extinct species decorating a museum wall at some time or another. I think we see eye-to-eye on that issue. Scamp |
I found this web site by Military.Com http://www.military.com/ContentFiles/BHDbackgroundM
That does an excellant job of bringing the events to light. The request for Bradley Fighting Vehicles and AC-130 Spectre gunships were denied by Secretary of Defense the odious Les Aspen. Jim Bishop iyaoyas! |

So then,...I guess it's more than fair saying that Dem/Lib control of: "America's Finest" and Bravest (re. The U.S. Military) NO MATTER WHEN,...is actually worse than the quite lethal nonsense of placing U.S. Troops under UN and/or also similar types intent on fighting politically-correct warfare (eventually?) COMMAND???
Regardless, whether ever COMMANDED by usually enemy capitulating UN Command or likeminded Dem/Lib Command,...as an American I personally believe that any and all Americans and American Forces ALWAYS deserve a much better command structure, than either such types of suspect allegiances referred to. Hey,...just some pre-election food for thought for those politically brainwashed and/or deceived having their heads usually in their specific political bent's sand box. Neil P.S. Not a Navy Man,...what does: "iyaoyas!" mean? |
IYAOYAS=If You Ain't Ordnance You Ain't Sh!t!!!!!
Not Navy either But a MARINE AVIATION ORDNANCEMAN hence the moniker Marine AO |
M - AO...
Thanks for the explanation.
In both my old units (10th Recon. Co. and "The A-Troop") our standard greeting TO ALL OTHERS was a bit different (plus a little shorter also). Such was used at EVERY OPPORTUNITY POSSIBLE, whether in The Field, Camp, or on Pass. As 10th Division Aggressors or Op Forces,...We never mixed well. "If you're not Recon,...you're shit!" It was never anything thing personal. "Just the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,...so help me God". Besides, what better way to greet or toast possible new drinking associates from other outfits, when in town? Hey,...even MP's need some work now and then. Neil,...The Bashful One :b: |
The U.N. is a JOKE ! Corrupt & is nothing more than a bunch of 3rd world thiefdoms that should be shown the door !
No U.S. military should every have to wear a BLUE BERET! This is my humble opinion. As far as politics' I consider myself a conservative & a Reagan Republican. I see to much of the Jerry Ford eliment in today's party. AS much as I dislike middle of the road or moderate Republicans, I dislike liberal democrats more & there LAP DOG PRESS..Tom Daschle is the pits, gawd is he obnoxious,He and Ted make me sick plus those like Waxman, McDermott Jackson Lee the list is long & I could go on & on... Al Gore a wennie ! Sorry fellas' I had to get that off my chest .. evidence that the "truth" is in the eye of the beholder!
FOR THE RECORD WHEN IT COMES TO OUR TROOPS IN COMBAT John Kerry has fought for higher pay, increased benefits & better equipment for the men & women in the Armed Forced. He has worked to support the men and women who defend the United States. John knows what it is like to serve the country in uniform that is why he has strongly supported military pay raises and increased housing, education and retirement benefits for the men and women of the Armed Services. Kerry voted for the ?Soldiers', Sailors', Airmen's and Marines' Bill of Rights Act? which authorized $46 billion over ten years to create a 4.8% pay raise for members of the military. The Act also authorized additional pay, retirement, education, savings, and health benefits. In 2000, Kerry voted for the McCain amendment to provide a further $28 million to service members for an additional allowance to military families who are eligible for food stamps?a problem John Kerry wants to end. Kerry was a cosponsor of John McCain?s Troops-to-Teachers Program Improvement Act which provided stipends to members of the military who retired or had been discharged and were interested in becoming teachers. As recently as 2002, John Kerry voted for another pay raise for the men and women in the Armed Services. The 2002 vote provided ?$10.4 billion for military construction and family housing? and ?authorized a new special compensation program which provided significantly enhanced compensation for military retirees with 20 or more years of service who incurred a qualifying combat-related disability.? [106th Congress, S.4 & S. 389; Office of Senator John Warner; Senate Roll Call Vote 1990 # 214;1999 #26; 2000 # 61; 2002 #239] Kerry was a lead Sponsor of the Amendment to Fund Our Nation?s Troops in Iraq through rescinding the Bush Tax Cut for the Wealthy: "The people who ordered up this war are the ones who ought to finance its aftermath. Yet when the Senate had a chance to vote on Oct. 2 for an amendment that would pay the postwar costs by "temporarily" reducing the tax cut for the wealthiest slice of Americans -- the less than 1 percent who $400,000 a year -- it was rejected, 57-42." [Broder, 10/12/03; 108th Congress S.Amdt. 1796] THIS WOULD HAVE MEANT SHARED WARTIME SACRIFICE FOR "ALL" AMERICANS AND NOT JUST THE MIDDLE CLASS, TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES. ######### YOU WANT "THE TRUTH" ABOUT THE SOLDIER ARMOR SMEAR? BUSH WAS SLOW TO DELIVER EQUIPMENT TO TROOPS ON THE BATTLEFIELD Army Study Suggested One-Fourth of Deaths in Iraq Could Have Been Prevented If Troops Were Properly-Equipped at Beginning of War. Newsweek reported, ?A breakdown of the casualty figures suggests that many U.S. deaths and wounds in Iraq simply did not need to occur. According to an unofficial study by a defense consultant that is now circulating through the Army, of a total of 789 Coalition deaths as of April 15 (686 of them Americans), 142 were killed by land mines or improvised explosive devices, while 48 others died in rocket-propelled-grenade attacks. Almost all those soldiers were killed while in unprotected vehicles, which means that perhaps one in four of those killed in combat in Iraq might be alive if they had had stronger armor around them, the study suggested. Thousands more who were unprotected have suffered grievous wounds, such as the loss of limbs.? [Newsweek, 5/3/04] Anyone with any intelligence at all while following developments on-line or in the media since the Iraq War began knows that Bush was slow to address Troops? need for Body Armor. Though Bush signed the Emergency Supplemental funding bill in November 2003 promising to use the money to ?acquire new equipment, such as armored humvees and communications gear,? he has been slow to deliver on that pledge. The Bush Administration first promised all the Troops they would have body armor at the end of November. They extended and missed deadlines for December, January, and February, until the Army Secretary told Congress in March 2004 that there were finally sufficient stocks of body armor to equip all soldiers by the end of the month. [Bush Remarks at Iraq Supplemental Bill Signing, 11/6/03; House Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on Foreign Operations, 9/24/03; UPI, 12/3/03; Hartford Courant, 1/11/04; House Appropriations Committee, Defense Subcommittee, 2/12/04; Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, 3/2/04] In a 542-page exhaustive self-assessment of the Iraq war, the Army concluded that American forces prevailed in the Iraq war despite supply and logistical failures, poor intelligence, communication breakdowns and futile attempts at psychological warfare. The LA Times characterized the findings of the report: ?American soldiers who defeated the Iraqi regime 15 months ago received virtually none of the critical spare parts they needed to keep their tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles running. They ran chronically short of food, water and ammunition. Their radios often failed them. Their medics had to forage for medical supplies, artillery gunners had to cannibalize parts from captured Iraqi guns and intelligence units provided little useful information about the enemy.? [LA Times, 7/3/04; Center for Army Lessons Learned, ?On Point,? onpoint.leavenworth.army.mil/] .Soldiers Forced to Buy Their Own Equipment Soldiers are so desperate for lacking equipment that they are buying their own. ?Some Army maintenance chiefs, in desperation, are using their own credit cards to make purchases. One soldier, who asked not to be identified, listed boots, goggles and protein bars as particularly coveted items.? [MSNBC.com, 4/15/04] And THAT is the disgusting, miserable record of Gee-W's administration with regards to "taking care" of our troops! ##### |
"I voted for the $87 billion, before I voted against it." These waffling, flip-flopping words of Teddy Jane Kerry will come back to haunt him, and already have, in Republian campaign commercials.
The truth of the matter about the body armor, much of the press has ignored, is that the manufacturers were operating at 100% capacity, and wer producing as much as their factories could produce. Prior purchases of body armor were held up due to lack of authorized funding, and it was this funding that Kerry voted against. (BTW: It tried the "Troops to Teachers" program, the much ballyhooed note of cooperation of TJK with John McCain, and found it, like most other governmental porgrams, eaten up with bureaucracy, required 'education courses' which are as useless as nuts on a sow, and mandated teaching in a government school. After a three-month gig, I found out that I'd rather gargle battery acid than teach in a government school. That's when I decided to start my own business, www.txeaglesnest.com.) ... er, last time I checked, protein bars were not an item of standard issue. And for any soldier, etc. to show up at the transfer point, e.g., Kuwait, and not have a pair of desert boots is the second biggest lie going around. All the so-called stories about missing body armor and casualties is must so much speculation, guesswork, and bad journalism. Believe it at your own risk. |

Well stated my Friend.
Besides, how could any in their right minds and/or not politically duped followers, possibly believe that a longtime U.S. Senator (re. Kerry) and one of The Military's and Intellence Agencies' previously and longtime DECIMATING GANG/CLIQUE/PARTY,...should now be trusted to rectify all that ails same, and especially during wartime??? Also, and even giving such a political phoney the benefit of doubt, didn't the wannabe leader for: "Recapturing The Whitehouse" already have about 20 years to fix The Military and Intelligence Agencies,...IF SUCH WAS EVER REALLY INTENDED? But then, for professional flip-floppers such really doesn't matter. Hey, today is today and tomorrow we can always change our minds. Think The Clintons, French, Germans, Russians and UN could be trusted to do a better job at such, than Kerry. And hell,...everyone knows (or at least should) that The Clintons and all others alluded to can only be trusted ABOUT HALF as far as they can be thrown,...if that far? Neil P.S. zuni-/Jim B., No: "Thanks for reading" to this usually non-reader isn't necessary whatsoever. The way you apparently have your head screwed-on-straight and cut through all the adnauseamly echoed and prevailing political BS abounding,...I find reading your truths and realities instead of Dem/Lib and/or Mainstream Media propaganda, quite refreshing. Refreshing hell! Damn-good, damn-needed, and damn-well-enjoyed. |
"I was in country when that P.O.S. KERRY LIED, & LIED to congress & who should have been locked up and court-martialed along with Jane Fonda for what they did, BUT HE, He was a RICH BOY and a suck-up PAL of the Kennedy's !!" He has vacations with them since he was a teen ! He wanted to be a another JFK.. !
BTW He was still a member of the reserves at that time he was invoved with VVAW, and subject to the UCMJ ! This is a fact not report on by the press, but it is a fact! He is such a Buffoon ! A lair, and I am sure that the only thing that keeps him from being scrutinized further is his relationship with the Kennedy's and he is a liberal democrat."The ol' golden hole card" ...That is how he has got away with what he has done. Such is the lot of a democrat ie Bill "Bent (left) Weiner" Clinton..a warrior for piece ! And how about the way he escaped the draft! Sw-e-e-et ! Hell , if he were a republican you couldn't turn on the TV without some news annoucer wanting to know how he got 3 purple hearts and didn't get more than a band aid for them?? Funny the guy only spent a little over 3 months in country & puts himself in for 3 PH's & then request to go home where he then becomes a anti-war activist. Doesn't that seem the least bit odd to you ??? VVAW is a communist group many of them never even in Viet Nam or for that matter the service. I see some around wearing all the patches and stuff,of course they all saw combat, but when you start asking questions they are easy to pick out. I have as much respect for the guy who ran the movie projector at Camp Alpha at Tan Son Nhut as the door Gunner... both jobs had there risks !Being in country was a risk for sure! There's another leftest leaning website you quote from anti-military ,anti-U.S. of A, but they are all pretty much the same the hate America for the mosst part. And oddly all are against President Bush, who is doing a better job than you guys want to give him credit for. ... ( I hope is is re- elected because if I had to indure 8 years of that moron from Arkansas well, you'll just have to adjust.. LOL) Phoney Nam Vet's !!! Kerry, he's worse than Fonda, he was one of us, but only to use us. Now he needs us again Haha.. Funny isn't he is goning to loose this election..and it is going to be the Viet Nam Vets who will turn out to vote Against him. There is justice!
