Georgia Congresswoman McKinney Loses Runoff
http://cbs4boston.com/national/topst...220232414.html
Cynthia McKinney, the fiery Georgia congresswoman known for her conspiracy theories about the Sept. 11 attacks and the scuffle she had earlier this year with a U.S. Capitol police officer, lost a runoff election Tuesday for her district's Democratic nomination. Attorney Hank Johnson, a former county commissioner, soundly defeated McKinney. With 92 percent of the precincts reporting, Johnson led with 59 percent of the vote -- more than 11,000 votes over McKinney. Johnson, a political unknown three weeks ago, strode into the ballroom of his campaign party to shouts of, "Hank! Hank! Hank!" "What we have done today, ladies and gentlemen, is something that has been watched by the nation," Johnson told cheering supporters as he claimed victory. Meanwhile, there was no sign of McKinney at her campaign celebration for most of the night. Her campaign manager, John Evans, blamed the loss on the so-called ABC -- Anybody But Cynthia -- movement. "It's over," Evans said. "Folks just beat us. They got a lot of white votes, a lot of Republican votes and they took some of our votes where we have been stable." Evans also pointed to low voter turnout and the March scuffle between McKinney and a Capitol Hill police officer as reasons for her defeat. |
It was a race watched by the nation and race was her calling card. Bet the Capital Police are having a party. Cynthias staff roughed up some of the press after her loss. ABC !

Kinda restores your faith in Democracy knowing that the Dubya's of Jawjah can see that McKinney was a fool trying to play them for a fool. McKinney tried to make a laughing stock of her constituents and they didn't fall for it. I was in the local high school yesterday and there's a sign in th lobby saying that all visitors must register for and wear their visitors pass where it's clearly visable while in the school and while registering, I was informed that the rule also applied to members of Congress and it didn't matter what color your skin was.

See they blame the defeat partially on the Wascalwy Wepubwicans & of course, Whitey. Could it be that they had a lousy candidate?
|
I'd like to say one thing about Race.
Afermative action, I think we need it , Lets start with the NBA. I want short white guys and a few Brown people maybe some fatties. . After all the United States Has only 12 or 13 percent Black so thats what should be on a NBA team. Next we'll got to the NFL. I would like to make 15 million a year. I can bounce a ball and throw it at a ring and miss, Just like they do. McKinney is a ideot. Shell go to the well fair office and gets her food stamps. Ron |
The loss couldn't have happened to a better thug. May she now find honest work, if that's possible.
|
So long Cynthia
Too bad for US she now will draw a better retirement check from the Government larger then most Military Vets gets now! and her medical is probably still paid for by US schnooks too......
But I was still glad to See "Hank" win last nite :g: :ae: :g: |
JerryD
I don't think she quite qualified for the pension and other perks, but I could be wrong. If she's entitled to anything, other than a Scottish moon, I'll be terribly disappointed.
|
I liked her remarks about the voting machines myself, gave me a good laugh.
|
Ah Shucks!
She was so entertaining. The less intelligent are so fun with there theories and all. I enjoyed her stupidity.
Saddened by the fact that so many believed her foolish ideas and remarks. Keith |
Didn?t hear the comments about the voting machines but let me guess. Hmmm, that?s tough one; I?ll have to reckon on that a bit.
But just taking a hip shot, perhaps something about the invisible and unnamed boogieman (s) ganging up on the righteous, one and only, Mc Kinney. Am I close? :re: Scamp |
She is now blaming Jews for her loss. She continus to include the New Black Panther Party in her entourage which the ADL says is one of the largest anti- semitic and racist black hate groups in America. What a joke

LT
Fie on thee! How can you make such a claim, that a Black person can be a racist, and the most vile and evil sort of racists at that. What variety of man are you, sir, that you would even entertain such scandalous thoughts or accusation? Have you no shame? :D
Consider the bedwetter's reaction to this sort of hateful outburst, if ol' Whity had made such claims? The crippling double-standard of this country is triply harmful. |
congressional pension system
Members who have participated in the congressional pension system are vested after 5 years of service. A full pension is available to Members 62 years of age with 5 years of service; 50 years or older with 20 years of service; or 25 years of service at any age. A reduced pension is available depending upon which of several different age/service options is chosen. If Members leave Congress before reaching retirement age, they may leave their contributions behind and receive a deferred pension later.

I'm sad to see her go. She does nothing in congress but embarass the hell out of her own party. Now they will have someone probably credible instead of that bafoon. She also gets financed by a bunch of Arabs....now they will just have to give their bucks to Kennedy and Kerry.

:ae: Thanks Ron for looking up Congressional Pensions. Cynthia with over 10 years in will get a Pension at age 62 and at $3,909 a month will be a nice chunk of change.

What ya gotta do to increase your benne's is, go out and smack a cop. Apparently it worked for her. Bob K |

It only works if you're a Black, racist, anti-Semitic, liberal Democrat.

Maybe the phenomenon should be named ?anticipatory forgiveness?. But evidently the Cop didn?t get the memo list of qualifications with attached immunity clause. That?s a bad dog, by jingo, and someone in the Cop shop needs a trip to the woodshed. On the other hand, the DC grand jury did the three monkeys deal and at least they got the memo, so the once again the world became at equilibrium. :re:
But hodit, hodit, yet another screw-up, the voters didn?t get the memo and the world got all wobbly again. :ek: This is simply a failure to communicate and no doubt some ?cracker? right winger ditched the memo and that is totally unacceptable behavior. But ya never know, maybe Musad intercepted the memo mail-outs and then rigged the voting machines. I wouldn?t put it past the buggers, so I guess we have to accept a wobbly world for the time being, or at least until such time that a Liberal Rep sets about smacking a Cop around again, things are set right and equilibrium is established once again. And ya know what, Cops are supposed to be passive, take the hits and abuse, put on the smile face and do nothing. Zo, evidently the Capitol Cops are highly deficient in PC training and that situation needs to be addressed immediately. Bob?s our guy, if he can?t do it, no one can. I reckon he can get in there, sort out those rogue Cops, and let them know how the hog eats the PC cabbage in an instant. ;) :D And ay sus, McKinney?s hired thugs bullying about is so way cool, I mean cosmic rock out, Lenin smiles. Damn, where the hell did I put my Party gismo lapel pin? Maybe in my sock bin, I?ll look. Cuba Libre Domingo Scamp :cl: |
Paco...
Awe-come-on.
Now you're gonna start picken on my two all time favorites: "Seal" KENNEDY & "Rambo" KERRY. Have you no mercy or compassion for Fellow Warriors??? :D :D :D Neil |
Massa Whitie's evil invention
Rep. Cynthia McKinney, in her first public appearance since losing her re-election bid last week, said Tuesday that the black community needs to oppose electronic voting machines, which she said are designed to steal elections.
McKinney also said the state of Georgia should not allow crossover voting among political parties in primary elections. The fiery Democratic congresswoman who scuffled with a Capitol Hill police officer earlier this year and has accused the Bush administration of having advance knowledge of the Sept. 11 attacks said she considers herself a "black political paramedic," and the "black body politic is near comatose." McKinney made the remarks during the National Dialogue and Revival for Social Justice in the Black Church. It was sponsored by the Rev. Al Sharpton's group, the National Action Network. Last week, she lost her bid for a seventh term in Congress to challenger Hank Johnson, a former DeKalb County Commissioner. Johnson defeated McKinney 59 percent to 41 percent in the Democratic runoff. After the runoff, McKinney blamed her defeat on the media and problems with electronic voting machines. The crowd in Augusta, estimated at fewer than 200 people, gave McKinney a standing ovation when she was introduced and again when she finished speaking. She refused to answer reporters' questions after her speech. A woman in McKinney's entourage got between the representative and a reporter. A male bodyguard said McKinney would not take questions. |
