Grandpa in the hospital
 

So far its looking like a severe case of the shingles....all over his body, even on the bottom of his feet.

The er thought it was MRSA at first but we are still waiting for test results.


If you can, please pray for what ever is God's plan.

My father-inlaw has shingles near his eye and the pain he had was almost unbearable but it cleared up. Took a long time though. Prayers out Mel for your Grandpa.

BTW, he got the shingles while he was IN THE HOSPITAL.

We are NOT happy with the care given by a few doctors. One said it was just cellucitis in the nose. Didn't look at anything else. The second one said the spots didn't concern him at all. His BP was 72/58 the last time it was taken at the drs office. We had to push to get him to call the hospital. INSANE. He is getting better. Not sure how long he will be in here.

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather having shingles. It is a very miserable thing to go through and you both are in my prayers.

Thank you all so much for the prayers.

I am a ball of stress but for my mom it is allot worse. She takes the night shift of staying with him. With all the hospital noise its not easy.

As for my grandpa. He is a bit better. He DOES have a sever case of shingles. It is ALL OVER his body. If he does not improve greatly over the next 2 days they ill be moving him to a long term care facility. Sigh....not exactly what we want but guess its for the best. My grandma misses him, after over 63 years together(marries) I don't blame her! He of course misses his dogs...lol

Shingles - whew those are tough to deal with.
 

Mel - I hope your Grandpa is doing better. My Mother-In-Law (God Bless Her) had those and it was tough on her. Shingles sounds like something from the dark ages. But I found out its quite common. I hope all goes well. Your Mom should take it easy too this will wear her down - she needs to get her rest as well. It's tough sleding I know - we've all been through these issues some more than once. Take care of yourself as well. Prayers out as DMZ says.
