Russia Threatens Japan With 'Retaliatory Measures' Over U.S. Naval Exercise

Russia has warned Japan it will face "retaliatory measures" if the Asian country allows an expansion of U.S. and Japanese naval exercises near Russian borders.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov made the comments to Russian state-owned newswire RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

"We see such actions by the Japanese side as a threat to the security of our country. We directly warn Tokyo about this through diplomatic channels," Morgulov said. "They should be prepared for the fact that if such practices expand, Russia will take retaliatory measures in the interests of strengthening its defense capabilities."

Russia has been openly talking about "World War 3" for the first time since it launched the invasion against its neighbor on February 24. In an interview with Russia's Channel One, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said there is a "serious" risk of World War 3, as he accused NATO of waging a proxy conflict with Moscow.

Personal note: To the People of Russia - you just got to get rid of Putin
- he will force a World War Three on the world - with his ongoing actions.
I don't know why - he's feeling so insecure but he will be the death of many
if he remains in office.
