As I Too Pondered, Weak & Weary?

Even a mere child, or any half-witted fool like me, knows for sure that it ain’t wise to screw-around with “Dear Old Mother Nature”, And Yet, We Still Try - “Now Don’t We?” Or have we learned nothing at all from the natural catastrophes of yore?” Or are we really so damned complacent, arrogant, or even god-like, that we can now dismiss “The Laws of Nature” in such a vile, complacent and lackadaisical fashion – “What Fools We Mortals Continue To Be!”

And have we learned nothing at all from those catastrophes of the past - that we still stumble-about, holding on to our backsides, and this, while we pray to the heavens for a reprieve from the inevitable? Or even as we await “An Instant Replay of The Old Mount Vesuvius Sonata”, or even some “Titanic Pacific Tsunami”, a gigantic asteroid strike, or even some totally unexpected “Act of Happenstance” that will truly make anything that is yet known to mankind - pale by comparison?

But not to worry folks, as we are truly eternal, and the “Whims of Nature”, along with a fear of the truly unknown, could not possibly bust our bubble of illusion - “Now Could It?”

And certainly not some virulent disease, or even a variant strain there-of, nor any space-born bugaboo, or even some looming terror that is hiding it’s ugly head just below the surface of creation, nor any other unknown reality, could ever do us in as a species – “Now Could It?” So scheme on, dream thee on, and hope on as well, that there is truly nothing out there that is just waiting for us to screw-up royally again? And So - It Just May Forever Be, And The Now Departed Genius Of “Old Edgar Allan Poe” (1809–1849) - Yet Lives On?!
