The Meaning Of Life

There are those who would argue that life has no meaning and that mankind is but an accident of nature? Others would claim that we are of divine origins, with a mission that is beyond our understanding and even our comprehension, until that is, we eventually come face to face with “The Creator Himself?” One thing, however, is a fact of life that is undeniable – we are still the only species that preys almost entirely upon itself!

I can not help but wonder just how much more we could have accomplished, had we learned to conquer our own inner demons, instead of constantly blowing each other to Hell? How many more productive thinkers, scientists, inventors and medical professionals have never been born because some ambitious and arrogant (on all levels) cuss decided that it was his right and/or destiny to rule the lives of others?

But have you ever stopped to think (really think) about how fragile we mortals really are? How we can be struck down by something as minuscule as a germ or a virus? And yet, there are still those who, under one guise or another, pretend to be the guardians of the universe and the benders of man’s destiny (What fools we mortals be!)

“Thank God for those who pass through life to create and improve, and not just to decimate, control, use up, despoil and then dispose of - for these are (in my opinion) the true enemies of mankind!”
