I had to go to my bankruptcy lawyer for something, and they never have anything good to read there, so out of desperation I picked up a mid-April 2005 "Southern Living" magazine, and the first thing I opened it up to was a page entitled "Low Country Cuisine" and in the upper right was a rather large picture of a big bowl of garlic shrimp and grits ! On the page were recipes for that, plus Benne Seed Wafers and Frogmore Stew.

It's great stuff, especially the shrimp and grits. Frogmore Stew is a stapel around here. You can ask Andy bout' the shrimp & Grits, it's probably his favorite. Doc and Shirley also were turned on to S&G and couldn't believe how well they went together. Think Frisco got into them too. I could eat it daily if it weren't for all the carbs in the grits. We get Southern Living, but usually Deb reads it....will have to look for that issue. Thanks!

PS I surprised they didn't mention She Crab Soup!

there was a note at thebottom of the page that shecrab soup was on the website.
