Photo Release: Noatak students visit Coast Guard Station Juneau
 

JUNEAU, Alaska - Petty Officer 2nd Class Eric Skaife, maritime enforcement specialist, teaches students about law enforcement equipment used at Coast Guard Station Juneau and the importance of each item April 1, 2011.

The students attend Napaaqtugmiut School which is located in Noatak, Alaska, above the Arctic Circle.

JUNEAU, Alaska - Students from Napaaqtugmiut School in Noatak, Alaska, visit Coast Guard station Juneau and learn about the search and rescue equipment used by the Coast Guard during a presentation given by Petty Officer 2nd Class Craig Ligocki, a boatswains mate, April 1, 2011.

The five students in attendance represented their small school of 150 students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

JUNEAU, Alaska - Senior Chief Petty Officer James Greenlief, commanding officer at Coast Guard Station Juneau, explains how his station prepares for cruise ship season through the use of security zones to students from Napaaqtugmiut School April 1, 2011.

The students were in town for the week learning about Juneau and next week students from Juneau will be visiting Noatak to learn about their village.
