How about these memories

It actually reminds me of our grammar school class room as a kid. In the 50's we lived in a small town called Riverdale, IL. My Sister Arlene had anywhere from 6-8 classmates at her 8th grade graduation. We had some new folks move in and in my class we had 10-12 thru 8th grade. This school is a dead ringer for our old school "Bowen". Steel desk with a wooden lift table. Our Principle was what we called her "old Lady Hedke" she was older than dirt and had been there since its conception. But she was a nice old lady who cared about kids. School windows back then were huge - two story building with a fenced in playground. Wow what memories. Note! They are saying their Pledge of Allegiance - one little girl is a lefty (like me). - My Best to All on Memorial Day - Boats Boy those were some swell days back then. We were just a bunch of pups. |
