Damascus, May 27 (Prensa Latina) Three soldiers from the United States were injured in an armed attack on their convoy in northeastern Syria, local media reported.

The attack was perpetrated with machineguns and RPG projectiles, and took place near the town of Rweshd, on the administrative border of Deir Ezzor and Hasakeh provinces, activists said.

In the incident, five members of the self-styled Democratic Force of Syria, backed up by Washington, were wounded as well.

All wounded persons were taken to the US illegal base in the city of Shadadi, south of Hasakeh province, the Syrian news channel Ikhbariya TV reported.
