“NUFF SAID!”

For those of you who still believe in taking cheap – and unnecessary shots at our own government and way of life, I have but two words for you – “SCREW OFF!” Maybe you think that you are being cute or witty, or maybe you are attempting to make brownie-points at the expense of our own heritage and futures, but in reality, what you are really doing is playing the part of a clown and disrupter in a world that sees no humor in the dead serious business of trying to take us down, and in replacing us with their own worn-out ideologies of world domination at any cost – especially ours!

The time for games and humor is long past – as our enemies are out for but a single thing – world domination! In fact, our only real friend is we ourselves! And until, and unless, we stop playing the part of a world-class buffoon, the balance of this planet will remain content to let us continue to regress!

And no, it just isn’t funny or even cute, anymore!

“America for Americans first, last and foremost” - if we intend to remain on top of the heap!

“SO WISE-UP Y’ALL!!”(WE MUST ALL BEGIN TO WORK TOGETHER IN UNISON - OR MOST ASSUREDLY, WE MAY SOMEDAY (MAYBE SOON) “ALL FALL ASUNDER IN RUINS! AND SO, IT MAY SOMEDAY (SOON) COME TO PASS!” (NUFF - SAID?!)

I've always heard it said
 

If one falls - another will take his or her place. I'm not worried about our situation
we've been here once or twice or more. And Once Again - America will always stand
as long as the Flag we fly stands. As for disrupters - they are everywhere - more-so
evermore in the media.

But we must stand together in order to accomplish the task at hand. The more
unity the better. Sour apples or grapes usually fall off the branches as we know it.

The Flag will fly as long as I live - who carries it after I'm gone - will be another.
Two many have died for American values. I'm sure more will follow depending
on the issues at hand.

Veteran's feel it the most - more so - when your family member's have served
before you. Most are gone but not forgotten. A walk around a military cemetary
is evidence enough to say - we will not fall - or fail.

To be sure our VFW Post #6448 (Dyer, IN) is very patriotic and though we look into
each other's eye's - you can oftentimes see them looking back in time. They've been
there and done it - they got to come home - many didn't (but in box). That's the true
pain Vet's feel. We joke - we buy each other beers (or shots/yeow!) and you can
see into their faces - they are home - but yet remember those who didn't make it
back.

Plus us old timer's are dropping like flies lately and memorials are often. The
younger Vets are coming around more often - which is good. Some often go
to the American Legion post - when making their rounds. We are a lonely
bunch of old men who lean on one another at times. But again We are
American's we've proved it - whereas others gave their life for it - you
can't ask for much more than that!

There's sadness in a few - who relive it periodically - and at the VFW the
pain seems to go away after a few beers [or shot] and talking with the
other vets. Most people can't understand why we get together in such a
manner - to us it's called camaraderie - getting things off your chest that
have been digging a hole in your soul.

We are not perfect nor are we un-American - we may say things that
upset the civvies at times but that doesn't mean - if push came to shove
we wouldn't stand up and fight for our Country. Even though we sometimes
think - they've forgotten us. We are not at good company at times some
can rattle your cage - why - who the hell knows - but we work through it.

We all stay out of politics because we know one can agree or disagree with
those who've had one or two - too many - but it's better out than in - many
times - I'm one - I say what's on my mind - yet - there's not one of us that
wouldn't go back in - if asked. The old "Farts Division" would most likely
due a fairly good job - I'm sure of it - if required.

As for the Country they've put us where we are today. That's their
business - and it's politics - of which has always been a bad subject
to bringing up in a saloon or bar. We all have issues good or bad -
better it's out-then-in and discussed then dwelling on past issues.
We live for today - for as our tomorrow's are marching time.

As they often say - Nobody Lives Forever. But in the end it's the
Vet's that will save the day / back home.

I trust this post doesn't break the objectivity of HC's comments.
He's right in many ways - and doesn't pull his punches. He's a
good guy and hopefully we are still good friends - as I don't
currently have that many - that I can be this opened with.
