IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE REPORTER,
WHO HAS GIVEN US FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.
IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE POET,
WHO HAS GIVEN US FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE CAMPUS ORGANIZER,
WHO HAS GIVEN US THE FREEDOM TO DEMONSTRATE.
IT IS THE SOLDIER WHO SALUTES THE FLAG.
WHO SERVES BENEATH THE FLAG,
AND WHOSE COFFIN IS DRAPED BY THE FLAG.
WHO ALLOWS THE PROTESTOR TO BURN THE FLAG.

All that is said ther is all so true..

To all my fellow VETS I wish you all the best.

My Dad was one of the proudest Veterans and Citizens I have ever met. He became a citizen after service in WWII. HAPPY VETERANS DAY

For those who have ever, here's a cheer for you!
For those who have never, thank a Vet or two!

I think all veterans, and only veterans, should have the day off, with pay.:32:

I've been telling that to my bosses every year, but they don't seem to share my enthusiasm for Veterans Day. :(
