“Whether you want to face it or not – mankind is truly a fragile creature!” And even though he has abused his environment and gotten away with it thus far, his final retribution is inevitable! To quote an old and shop-worn saying: “If You Play With Fire Long Enough, Eventually You Get Burned!”

We do however have a splendid series of fantasies working for us in order to convince ourselves of our own invulnerability. These include our belief in the esoteric, our grossly overrated mental capacities, our security in numbers, and of course a political systems that constantly assures us that we are indeed immortal and beyond contestation – but are we really?

How many civilizations have passed this way before us, only to be cut down by their own arrogance, insanity, and greed, and they too (if indeed they existed), must have also thought of themselves as eternal or blessed?

In reality however, humanity lives upon a razor’s edge, and any number of things can erase all record of our existence! Plague, warfare, disaster, and the natural order of things, all have the potential to snuff out our candle in a heartbeat! There are after all, still more things in heaven and earth than man has ever dreamed of, and neither science, nor humanity itself, can forever protect us from our own political folly, along with the fact that we continue to make the same fatal mistakes, over and over again! “IT’S SOMETHING TO REALLY THINK ABOUT!”
