(AP Photo/Noah Berger) Photo: Noah Berger / Associated Press Major fires continue to burn through parts of Northern California, including the state’s largest ever, the August Complex in Mendocino and Humboldt counties, which had scorched 834,000 acres and continued to grow Sunday. Ignited by lightning more than a month ago, the August Complex fires are burning mostly forest land but have caused thousands to evacuate, destroyed 86 structures and led to one fatality, according to Cal Fire. The agency said the complex was 34% contained Sunday morning. More than 2,000 firefighters are fighting the blaze, including crews from Montana, New Jersey, Texas and Idaho. I think this is the worst one I've seen and read about in sometime. Hope you and your wife are in the fire areas currently underway! Boats |
