The cuts in funds to medicare will force the families to comply with the needs of the state to save money , by not saving the old and crippled even though they can be rehabilitated to norma again. Life and death decisions are not perfect, that's a fact. The Schiavo case is a great example of a family that should have had something done but did not.

As one of its chief cost-cutting measures, the Obama administration plans to slash $317 billion through Medicare and Medicaid “efficiencies ... such as reducing Medicare overpayments to private insurers,” according to Obama budget director Peter Orszag. Obama’s stimulus package includes a paltry $268 million in funding for public hospitals.

These cuts come on top of another $313 billion in cuts from the two programs, “including a proposal that will generate about $106 billion in savings over 10 years by reducing payments that help hospitals with the cost of treating patients without insurance,” says Orszag.

The White House is seeking to justify these cuts by claiming that under any new health care reform, these funds will be less needed. According to Nancy-Ann DeParle, director of the White House Office of Health Reform, the number of uninsured will be “reduced dramatically as we move to cover everybody,” and there will be “less of a need for hospitals to get the payments.”
Give the Goberment an inch and they will take a mile.



It shouldn't surprise anyone. Obama's science czar is on record supporting mandatory abortions and another advisor, a "bioethicist", is on record claiming that babies aren't human until they can perceive themselves and has stated that until then they can still be "aborted", months after birth.





Now is the time to spread the word to all of your 'seasoned citizens'. I did just that when Irish J posted this earlier today. The boomers, etc. represent a very large voting block - one with $$$ too.

U.S. House members flooded with calls, emails, etc. from these people will have an effect I believe.

That tells a lot of what they really are going to do.

Remember the old people need more care but look here, Emanuel is saying they will get less care under this plan. They ever are going to cut Medicare 20% to help pay for this program. _________________________

If, God forbid, and I mean that as seriously as I can pray, Obamacare gets enacted into law, then our resident liberal/socialist will probably be one of the first to get deselected from receiving any more care. People with diabetes, who are over-weight, and probably have heart problems and other ailments, will just be sent home to die - oh yes, with a pain pill in their little hands. How caring, how compassionate. :rolleyes:
