The Real Forbidden Fruit?
 

If mankind was truly driven out of Eden for partaking of some forbidden fruit (The Tree of Knowledge), then he really has not learned much over the past millennia! He still engages in carnal mayhem, wars of total destruction, and the dubious joys of inflicting as much pain upon his fellow life travelers as is humanly possible!

Many of the wars that are fought today boil down to nothing but human greed! The lust for land, wealth, the other guy’s possessions, and just plain hate and moral insanity! Unfortunately, however, many of the so-called good guys, also practice the same abominations, only on a lesser scale! And worse yet, are the multitudes who see the problems, but do less than nothing to try to rectify the situation! And of course, there is that poor dumb lout who, for the sake of being socially acceptable to any given group, sells his soul and morality just to be allowed to trod the same path as his odious mentor! He, in great numbers unfortunately, is the worse offender of all!

“So what really is the forbidden fruit?” Is it really an apple, forbidden knowledge, or even sex for that matter? Or is it perhaps, the perception of right and wrong. but an intrinsic weakness to accept the grotesque, rather than make waves? And could you imagine what our nation would be today, had our Founding Fathers felt (or believed) the same way?
