The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) transits the Bosphorus Strait, July 6, 2018. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its fifth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa. While in the Black Sea, Porter is scheduled to participate in exercise Sea Breeze 2018. Sea Breeze, as well as other operations in the Black Sea, is meant to enhance combined capability and interoperability with NATO allies and partners.
