Totally agree. Combat medics, humping all of his "extra shit" among rations, etc. to take care of Us. "Doc" Jerguson was a damn good medic for Delta Company. He may have carried a.45. I agree "fellas" They had an awesome job. It gives Me goosebumps to think
that most times, They are the last one to see a comrade take His last breath. Like the
movie "Men of Honor" Cuba Gooding. When They went down to rescue the navy diver
when They brought Him up, the medic went to his aid, and looked at Master Chief Sunday
and shooked his head as to say Sorry, he didn't make it.
Bottomline, You would just about do anything for Your Medic. Plus he always had some
GI "gin" :o)

Art Jacobs and his copilot at the 2007 Reunion. Sorry about the darkness. He owns a consulting business near Nashville TN. My wife was amazed at his inability to sit still. That entire crew was at this reunion.

Here is why they came to the reunion, to honor the gunner that had been shot in the head, Jerry Dick. Jerry was in about every photo taken that night.
