media coverage of returning casualties? TOPIC/HISTORY: For generations the American public has honored its war dead upon arrival back in the United States. Recently, President Bush has declared that public viewing and media coverage of America's war dead prior to their bodies being turned over to their families is disrespectful to the dead and to their families. Critics of Mr. Bush have called his decision an attempt to prevent the American public from seeing the cost of the war in Iraq since his announcement on May 1st, 2003 that major hostilities had ended. QUESTION 1/2: Do you agree or disagree with president Bush's decision to prevent media coverage of America's returning casualties?
